A great video. Reminded me of last weekend. By the way Buana, turn in the direction of the skid.

Here is another view of the Viper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMlyS0je6iE The camera man is going nuts.... One big issue I have is how the crowd reacts. They want to see wrecks. That really bothers me. I was pulling duty of corner flags at a race one weekend, and find a couple of young 20 year olds participating just so they can watch the cars spin and wreck. I've never been to a NASCAR event, but I understand a big percentage of the spectators are there for the pile ups. Everyone wants to see a train wreck. That just makes my stomach hurt........ (Then again, I never did like "I Love Lucy". The ultimate train wreck) Am I wrong :confused:? |

Hey this will be fun, oh no, don't hit anything, don't tear anything up... |
I'm glad you raised your engine Richard or it would have been still sitting there.
I heard you leave and was worried when I looked up and saw the back of your baseball cap going the wrong way. I didn't get to see it live but I asked the kid that posted it on youtube to show me his video. Glad all that happened was slap on the head. We looked up and I saw this Viper coming right at me so that was the end of my viewing. These guys only wanted to see a crash. I saw this guy leave in a `94 XJ with his son in a carseat that got it sideways and I felt like it's time to go home. Kudo's to those who left the back way and not on the access road. You can bet TX finest will be there next coffee Saturday. I thought it was a great show and think it warrants a regular visit. Don |
hey most of the kids cheering drive a honda accord with the small engine... These things are easy to get a little sideways.
Good thing no one got hurt... so can I be the one to point out that no one should have been gunning it with a crowd next to them. Even though there is a good chance I would have done it also... not really a good idea (wow I am getting old for sure) hey Richard is famous now... 500 hits on that video. See you Saturday |
Chris
Not exactly how I wanted to become famous, I would rather had been know for curing some dreaded disease___like stupidity, although this has made great strides in curing my own. Richard |
found some pictures off of the cars and coffee website. someone took some great pictures. hope to see everyone again this month.

I am looking forward to this month and there should be no more HHR after today if everything goes well.
|
what's the plan for Saturday? West siders want to meet up and cruise out together again?
|
Well I may or may not have the Mustang for Saturday. I do have it right now, but I am completely not happy with the aftermarket header panel that the ins co forced the body shop to use. The headlights are not even, the bumper sags down. The headlights also only loosely fit in. They won't fall out, but they bounce around and I refuse to accept that.
