Damn you. Damn you to hell. They look so GREAT that I now have another project to tackle. And, yes, stripper is nasty, nasty stuff.

I have a brand new set of those wheels with the mounts and knockoffs that I want to sell is anyone is interested. I'll make a smokin' deal on them.

David,
They're obviously a big hit! Awesome.
I know stripping isn't rocket surgery but could tell us what Stripper you used? Masking? Brush? Tires on/off?
Thanks!

Mdman352 04-04-2012 01:59 PM

Mine are "stripped", that is the way they came. Do not know the manufacturer but the knockoffs say Halibrand.

David,
Thanks for the reply and info. :D
I have a spare set of Trigos. Before I got the Avons mounted I took the wheels to a guy who does blasting and powder coating and he didn't want to blast them bare! Maybe when things are more settled I do the same. Once again, love the look.
BTW, I'm still putting you on the Mg list. ;)

Jamo 04-05-2012 02:51 AM

David...excellent. Really a nice look for the wheels, damn nice looking Cobra and a good instructive thread.
