Many cobra folks on this forum have been to Hallett, outside Tulsa, for cobra-related races. I happened to stumble across a Corinthian Vintage Racecar meet at Hallett this last weekend. If I understand it properly, your car must be a '72 or earlier, and certified as a racer by the club.
Unfortunately, there was an unexpected snow storm Saturday that dumped over 6 inches of wet, slushy snow on the area. It must have been frustrating to set there all day Saturday wondering if you would get back on the track. Of the 80 or so cars that prepped and tuned on Friday, only about 35 or so stayed for some "hot" racing on Sunday.
The Hallett team worked late into Saturday night to clear the snow off the track. My wife and I drove out to see the racing on Sunday afternoon. For me, it was a lot of fun to see cars on the track that I've only seen on TV (Lola, Alpha, and Formula V) or maybe have seen rarely on the street ('59 bug-eyed sprite, original mini). I was able to talk to a number of car owners, and they are as passionate about their cars as those of us with cobras. Attached are a few pictures.
