We just weighed a small spline unit and it is #100.
We can change all of the internals over to an aluminum case or if has never been run just exchange it for an aluminum one. I have to figure out the price difference.

How about an UNUSED David Kee Toploader in trade? Mine has been sitting at Southern Auto since you shipped it many months ago.

How much does a regular TL weigh?

Thanks,

Lew, if you don't work out a trade, I'm in the market for a Toploader(had one on the way from CT and UPS lost the freakin' thing:mad: ). I can pick it up at SA. I need a wide ratio that will bolt up to a 289. Lemme know if there is any interest.

That would be fine. It is a WR big spline that David built about 5 months ago. David built it to work with a stroked Shelby BB, so everything was top of the line. Since my KMP has not been delivered, the tranny has just been sitting at SA and has never been hooked up to an engine. Logistically, it is probably easiest just to sell that one to you and order a fresh one from David as it doesn't seem like I will be needing my tranny any time soon. I will sell it to you for what David charged me. I won't charge you for the shipping from David's shop to SA since, if I won't be sending it back, you will be saving me exactly that much $$. I cannot remember what I paid, but I will find out.

If this works out, I will be on my 4th KMP, 2nd SA motor and 2nd David Kee tranny, and I still haven't turned a wheel!

Hi David Kee and others. I have an original NOS FORD aluminum top loader case. I believe it was originally from Bud Moore from his 69 Boss 302 racing program. It came with a NOS set, in the boxes of road racing factory Ford bushed gears 2.02 low super close ratio, which I believe originated in a GT40, not a Ford GT. It is currently being scanned along with an original NOS aluminum Ford thunderbolt two piece bell housing for eventual reproduction. I will try to post photos of this pile of wonderful parts so all can see that Ford actually made all of this stuff. Most of the parts numbers on the boxes are C9 X but the bell housing has a C4 X. Might take a little while to get the photos up. I will have this assembled but need a couple other non specific toploader pieces to complete the build. Please respond with what ever NOS internal parts that you have available for purchase. Thank you
