Eyebrowing the Bellhousing-H E L P ! !
I have an earlier thread re: eliminating the banjo fittings with 90 degree AN 4 fittings, however the problem is not being able to get a 90 degree fitting that is low profile enough to clear the hole in the bellhousing.
I bought some AN 4 X #4 S.A.E. 90 degree fitting from Aberdeen Fluid Components here at noon and when made up in the throw out bearing will be about 3/8" - 1/2" larger than the hole in my bellhousing.
Is there any reason I couldn't take a die grinder to the area on my 1/4" steel scatershield where my throw out bearing fittings would not clear the bellhousing and grind a 1/2" eyebrow at 180 degrees of each other? Would this compromise my transmission or bellhousing? Thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
