Cobra breakfast, Sunday 9/19/2010 9:30am Douglassville, PA

We have yet to have a Cobra breakfast for those of us in Central, Eastern, PA, northern Maryland, and southern, NJ. So I propose the following:

What: PA Cobra Breakfast
When: Sunday September 19th, 2010"
Where: Micheals Diner RT 422W and 662N Douglassville, PA
What Time: Breakfast at 9:30am

Additional/optional:
A short cruise through the local countryside, figure about 1/2 hour or so with a stop at the Manatawny Creek Winery.

Questions:
Do I need to own or bring a Cobra to participate?: No, ownership is not required, but enthusiasm is.
Can I bring my wife and kids: yes, these are family friendly events.

Interested in joining us, post here so we can call and let the diner know how many are coming (I will call the night before).

Look forward to seeing you there.

Yours In Fords,

Bill S.

I would love to finally make an event and meet and greet. I will double check schedule but I did see thunderstorms forcasted for Sunday, not to be a spoiler.

Sorry my bad, looked to quick at work. I retract the rain statement. Although that makes it not a possibility for me. My dad's 87th Birthday is Friday but the family is taking him out to dinner Saturday night down in Cape May, NJ. Oh well I will get to a meet a greet some day.

To answer a few questions that were PM'd to me (maybe this is a PA thing, who knows:p)

1: is this a weather related event.
No, this is a rain or shine event....More of a meet and greet...With enough interest and participation we can make this a monthly happening throughout the year.

2: Will their be baby sitting?
No, you are responsible for keeping your children occupied, well mannered, and in line so as to not disturb the other patrons of the diner (we do want to be invited back). If your children have issues in crowds, cannot behave themselves, or are otherwise spoiled brats, leave the at home.

3: Is the local cobra group paying the tab.
Again, no, you are responsible for your meal,so bring cash.

4: Will we still go on the cruise if it rains?
No, but we can head over to the winery which is close by.

5: What is in it for me if I bring my car out?
Does there really have to be something in it for you besides meeting people with similar interests? Potentially getting a group together where we can assist with builds or ideas? Perhaps run to shows and cruises together? Maybe even make a new friend?

Any other questions, feel free to PM me or post it here:rolleyes:.

Put me down for 3. Me and 2 perfect little angels. :JEKYLHYDE
Although I could try to strap both of them into the passenger seat of my non-Cobra sports car, I think I'll bring the econobox instead.

Will try to make it. Just got my dream car and need an excuse to drive it but my wife still thinks that it is boating season.

FWB 09-14-2010 03:27 PM

I'm coming, bringing the cobra, wife may come unless she gets a bug up her "you know what" between now and then....until she actually sits down in the seat when i'm leaving, I'll never know beforehand. :D

Working on alternate cruise routes this morning. I ran the proposed route and my back up and now have two bridges out due to construction. More to follow once I run the new ones this evening.

New cruise route has been set up and run this evening, nice combination of twists and turns on country roads and a few open sections of country highways.
