I think we should set the date first, for me October 5 sounds good - my car should be ready- and then set the route - those roads in NY are full of pot holes. Does anyone know a smooth route?
|
Have a good time.
I'll be enjoying my bagel and lox at the Deli with a cup of coffee and the paper. Bye. |
As of right now, the weather looks good for this Saturday and Sunday. Anyone up for a breakfast meeting and cruise either day?
Evan, we can get bagels if you want. Just give me directions.:) |
Hmmm.....has possibilities. Let's take another look around Thursday.

Great idea! No problem. Jack Coopers Deli in Warren. A great Jewish Style deli. Different cream cheeses like chive cream cheese, olive and pimento etc.. , lox, white fish, kippered salmon, creamed herring etc., good coffee etc..
Mike give me a call at the office. I'm in the Lawyers Diary. Directions are easy from Springfield. About 10 to 15 minutes away. ;) |
Bagels? It's gonna be 50* those mornings - a little scrapple with 2 over will be better insulation.
Can't get scrapple in Springfield. Maybe in Warren. Sure can in Flemington. :D :D :D |
Your more than welcome to join us.
|
Thank you. Will be a pleasure. After all, REAL men don't mind frost. :D :p
|
We're meeting around 9:00 Saturday morning. Jack Cooper's Deli, Town Square Drive off of Washington Valley Road/Mountain Blvd near town square center (Flag Center) in Warren Township (Somerset County not Warren County).
Anyone is welcome. |

Roscoe-
Does this mean you'll be there? |
So far so good. Right now I have nothing in the way and the weather looks good.
Roscoe |
So Roscoe, I guess your not going to be part of this.

Cranky,
As much as I'd like to be there I just cannot go. I have a number of reasons why I did not make it to the track this year but none I'd care to discuss. Next year should provide better circumstances. And you will get my Club Cranky shirt only by prying it off my cold dead body. Roscoe |
And just so everyone is clear, we will not be going through Lincoln Tunnel. I know some people were/are very concerned about that. Maybe another day . . .
Roscoe- Glad to hear you'll be there. Definetely not as cool as a day at the track, but if the weather is good, should be fun nonetheless. I am going to try and see if anybody else is up for it. Anyone?:D |
Can I strap a 19 month old child in the front seat? HHMMM, I guess not. I was really looking forward to seeing that ERA though. What do you guys think of taking a morning cruise to Morris Plains? You can bring me a bagel!

Roscoe: Unlike the "racers" we "f'n weenie waxers have no problem hanging out with pretend racers and "f'n weeny waxers alike. While spending time at the track can clearly be fun its not for everyone nor is it the only correct use for a Cobra. Some people can't grasp that concept.
All are welcome and not personally insulted and attacked later because you don't "race" Its ok to be a "f'n weeny waxer". Really. ;) |
Dane: Definitely try to make it. Its just for a few hours.
Its only a 25-30 min ride from Morristown. Hey, you never know. Could this be the begining of the "f'n weenie waxer club???? Just think. Weekly get togethers almost in Mr. Cranky's back yard. Whose bringing the wax?! |
Tri States Racing division
Roscoe,
Here are the Guys from Upstates Cobra club All Waxers and all unpretentious good guys, Hanging with the Crankoids at the Glen. Also notice REAL CSX Cobra Dragonsnake that saw plenty of track time. http://www.cobranet.com/coppermine/a...al_020_17a.jpg Crankoids like Waxers. RD:3DSMILE: |
Whoa! There you have it. That picture proves it all. You can just tell they are all good unpretentous waxers from that photo.
Sure you like them. Those "waxers" showed an interest in "Club Cranky" activities. However other "waxers" like me for instance couldn't care less about Club Cranky or its activities. Looks like fun but some, believe it or not, just aren't interested in the track nor is the only use for a Cobra. Must be why you always refer to "waxers" (plural) as "f'n waxers" and other denegrating comments about "waxers" the latest being the critique about the Lincoln Tunnel idea. Anyone reading Cobranet would get a different impression about your feeling for "waxers" than your current/present efforts to show everyone otherwise. Hey its all there. Just read it. We know you don't like me. Thats fine. Don't like you either. But you sure express your like for "waxers" in an unusual way on your site. Usually referring to "waxers as "weenies, f'n weenies, f'n waxers" Strange way to express your like for the non race set. One would think that dropping the denegrating references to those that don't see it your way would yield greater results as far as getting guys interested in open track with Club Cranky. Stange marketing scheme. BTW aren't you breaking your self imposed exodus/ban from the "Family Channel"? Why are you wasting you time here? Funny. BTW: Waxers do like "racers". I think its great and would like to put a car on the track myself if I had the time. I respect guys like Steve Sunshine. He is a class act. |
