Uh, if I put a Cobra emblem on my Jeep Cherokee, will that count?? :D Why don't we take our cars out on Saturday instead? First one to travel 50 feet in a straight line wins!! :JEKYLHYDE

mrmustang 12-04-2003 04:43 AM

I'll take that bet.

NJ2000R 12-11-2003 05:55 AM

this could be a road test day for me...hopefully I have the time to finish my clutch project between now and new years day....I'll bring a tow strap just in case :3DSMILE:

by the way, what happened to the cranky forum?

mrmustang 12-11-2003 07:02 AM

Cranky's site is down at the moment, due to hardware or software issues. The main page still comes up, but the forum has crapped out:

The time is near who's in ??

mrmustang 12-22-2003 05:39 PM

I'm in if the car is back from the body shop (hood hinge getting bonded on and some minor paint work) in time.........if not, guess i'll have to borrow another convertible from my wife....Either that, or dig out the old 65 Mustang convertible from the backyard.....................One way or the other I'll be out with the top down................

O.K.....

....is there a game plan?

Just got to stick the windshield back on and lil' Red is good to go. Anybody got any idea where we're starting / ending? Not that I wanna pu**y out but some forethought will enable better preparation (read: longjohns, hotpacks, aspirin...).

Personally, I will offer up a trip around the Upper Bucks county area :D . That way once my a$$ is frozen to the seat it won't take long to get to the garage to thaw it out.

Open to suggestions - let's see whatcha got.

Well, since this is :3DSMILE: "MY" :3DSMILE: annual ride, the game plan is simple, an early breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Mt Arlington off exit 30 on rt 80 ( 172 Howard Blvd)(say 9:30am), then a nice leisurely trip around the Roxbury/Randolph, Denville, Parsippany, Rockaway (backroads) area. If the weather is really bad(rain, shine, snow, sleet, etc), then just a quick 5 mile trip around White Meadow Lake is in the cards for me (just like last year). All are welcome to attend breakfast with those of us crazy enough to come out in our cars :D :D :D ...............

Bill S.

turnpike boy 12-23-2003 05:01 AM

Well....

....since this is *YOUR*:3DSMILE: Annual Ride, maybe we should all camp out in your living room the nite before simply to ensure that hypothermia is at least delayed.:D :D

I need two pillows, WS.

:D

mrmustang 12-23-2003 05:18 AM

You want to camp out, that's fine...But no bonfires allowed in the house...For this, we go to my brother-in-laws and usually have a good 20-30 footer roaring by midnight :D :D :D ..............

Bill S.

PS: besides, the in-laws house is a straight shot up 206 for you................

ERA649 12-29-2003 05:16 PM

It looks like my car wouldn't be on the road by thursday but maybe Sat or Sun. I ordered a new Demon carb and it should be here by Wed. With a little tune up time I'll be ready.

mike

mrmustang 12-30-2003 09:07 AM

Well, it looks like mine will still be collecting dust at the body shop...Guess I'll have to borrow the wife's Sebring and drop the top on that instead. All are still welcome to join me here in the Rockaway are on New Years Day...................

Sincerely,

Bill S.
