RACER X #99 02-16-2004 01:22 PM

Where are the racers?

Seems like we got about 1,000 Cobras in Jersey alone each one with at least 500 HP and all we get are three guys doing Open Track.

I don't really expect guys with Kirkhams and Shelby's to risk their investments but lots of these cars deserve to have their leggs stretched once in a while.

I know if I was a motor I would be a little pissed at my driver if all he did was haul my ass around from show to show. You think I'm sittin up front here under the God awful cramped engine compartment sweating my pistons off so you can cruise to the Burger King. If you ain't gonna give me a chance to showoff once in a while like you do with the paint job and those expensive wheels at least let one of your buddies take me out for some exercise.

Where are the racers???%/ %/

rdorman 02-16-2004 01:27 PM

LMAO Cranky:LOL:

Turn out can be a real shocker some times can't it?

Rick

Cranky,

I'm working on something as we speak...Not sure if it will be a track worthy car (not that the chassis is not, but at the moment it is missing a roll bar) before the first few events..........

BlueRooster 02-16-2004 03:20 PM

Im right here Cranky. You are not looking hard enough.

RACER X #99 02-16-2004 04:25 PM

OK, Which events can we expect to see you at?

Beaverun
Watkins Glen
Elkhart Lake
Pocono
Lime Rock Park

mrmustang 02-16-2004 04:40 PM

Roger,

I'm planning on Watkins Glen, along with Pocono..........At least one event at each venue (or more if business picks up).......

Bill S.

BlueRooster 02-16-2004 06:33 PM

Pocono and Lime Rock

John McMahon 02-16-2004 06:39 PM

Rooster,

You better check those Dbs before you commit to LRP.

Chaplin 02-16-2004 09:04 PM

Where are the racers?

I thought they all moved to clubcranky.com :p

(Sorry that was too easy to pass up :) )

klayfish 02-17-2004 05:31 AM

Well, you know I'll at least be at Ruth Buzzi. Still working on getting to other tracks...

Steve

BlueRooster 02-17-2004 05:43 AM

Good point John. Not much I can do about that I guess. To tell you the truth, LR was THE track I really wanted to run the car on. When you guys are there I will take the ride up anyway. If I can run, I'll run. If I cant, I'll watch.

RACER X #99 02-17-2004 05:48 AM

Rooster,
You are correct about the Crankoids we hang out at Club Cranky for the serious BS and we come here to blow smoke.

BTW Be careful at Pocono and LRP, those short tracks can be hazardous to Big cube, short wheelbase cars.

Chaplin 02-17-2004 06:21 AM

Rooster-
Let me know when you're going up there. I'd love to check it out if you want company for the ride.

John McMahon 02-17-2004 06:48 AM

Rooster,

Talk to Don Durner (a427sc) about the noise limits, he runs that track regularly and can fill you in on what needs to be done.

Chaplin,

ha-ha (i.e. just a chuckle...not even a laugh)

Chaplin 02-17-2004 06:51 AM

John,
Chuuckle is fine . . . I don't have high standards.:)

Roscoe 02-17-2004 07:02 AM

I'm signing up for Pocono. Not sure of the date yet but it will be when Bill Karns gets his coupe out for the shakedown. Maybe the April date. Will also try to get in one Glen date just so I can get these guys off my back. Geesh.

Roscoe

BlueRooster 02-17-2004 12:33 PM

I would like to see the Coupe run too. Mike, plan on whatever date(April) Bill and Roscoe are going to Pocono and we'll head up.

John or Cranky, If I spin out at Pocono I wont hit anything...right?

Dane

RACER X #99 02-17-2004 12:43 PM

RACER X #99 02-17-2004 12:52 PM

Dane,
Part of the thrill of running at Pocono is doing about 130mph with the Armco about 6 ft from your drivers door and hoping that you don't blow a left front tire.  Other than that ,Pocono is real spinout friendly.%/ :3DSMILE:

Cranky

Johan 02-17-2004 05:11 PM
