Wow! What a great day, today, Sunday, was for a ride. Toured the back roads for a while and then ended up in the town of Chester. Lots of people and kids trick or treating on main street.
I got a few thumbs up from the people lining the street. We probably won't be getting many more like this one.

Get on that waiting list quickly. I've been told it's already 15 people long and growing!!

What are the sound restrictions at LRP? My car was 104db @ 1000 rpm on sunday.

RACER X #99 11-01-2004 11:47 AM

649,
A BB Cobra thru the mufflers will easily pass the sound check. 104 db sounds like you had the meter in the side pipe.

Chaplin 11-01-2004 12:31 PM

that 104 db was at about 6-8 ft. away I'd guess. Mine wasn't much better%/

RACER X #99 11-01-2004 01:42 PM

The sound checks are usually done at about 50 ft. from the edge of the track and you are at full power. Muffled Cobras are not too loud. They may sound loud on the street but at the track nobody notices.:D

I'd like to get one last ride in Mike. I row or paddle all year round, even New Years day so its only snow or rain that will keep me in. Cold just makes a Cobra more huggable. If its the weekend before Turkey day, sorry, I'm in a canoe race. If it's after, sure, I'll go. Keep me posted.

ERA649 11-01-2004 05:15 PM

Ziggy,

I'm thinking thanksgiving weekend.

Mike

Their not taking anymore waiting list names for LRP on Nov.8th.
So, I don't see much sense in going without a chance of driving.

Next year I will start eariler.

Nice, Blue....

...really nice pictures. Lookin at them makes me weak at the knees for more sunny fall days.

Sunday really was gorgeous.

:)

ERA649 11-03-2004 11:58 AM

BR,

How come there is a big picture of the yellow Cobra and the silver one only gets a small spot in the group photo?

After all the silver Cobra must be faster since its in front of the pack.

Chaplin 11-03-2004 02:24 PM

yellow and silver aren't bad, but I think that green one should have been more prominently displayed. :3DSMILE:

BlueRooster 11-03-2004 04:51 PM

You mean like this?
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...010128-med.jpg
Hows that for prominent.

Chaplin 11-03-2004 05:08 PM

That's not too bad:p

BlueRooster 11-03-2004 05:37 PM

Hey Chap, am I nitpickin' or do you need some braided lines on that puppy.

Chaplin 11-03-2004 07:56 PM

The only things that are not braided stainless are the heater hoses (which you see in the pic) and the radiator hoses.

turnpike boy 11-04-2004 04:03 AM

This is blatant discrimination

EVERYone knows that small-block Cobras are (1) what made the Cobra truly famous; (2) far better balanced, and thereby quicker; (3) much neater in constructed appearance; and (4) just plain lightning-fast.

On top of all that - is there even any doubt that RED is the most correct, most compelling, most desirous color of them all? Any possibility of doubt whatsoever?

Boy. You fawning big-bore devotees just can't see the fast cars for all the tire smoke you generate.
