Help!!!
Hi,
My name is Christine Calandra and along with my friend, Brooke Rossi we are co-chairing the 2005 Groovy Fete. The June Fete is a benefit in Princeton, NJ sponsored by the Auxiliary of the Medical Center at Princeton, specifically to benefit the upcoming Breast Health Center. The Breast Health Center will offer state of the art care for women from prevention to diagnosis and treatment for Breast Cancer. Our center will eliminate wait time for women so they don't have to dread a terrible phone call at their home. (For those of you who have been in this horrible waiting time you know how nerve racking it can be. Often times leading to women NOT getting the proper breast care.) Brooke (25) and I (28) are the youngest chairs ever to be asked to do this monumental task and we are really trying to make this the Fete's best year ever. Many years ago, (This will be the Fete's 52nd year!) the Fete included an antique car show. We are interested in resurrecting this tradition and having an antique car show at our Fete. Since this year's theme is specifically The Groovy Fete, we are looking for Groovy cars to be shown off to help attract more people to our event. Since we are a benefit we do not have a large budget to spend on this endeavor, but are hoping to find some people with these great cars to come join us on June 10th 6-8pm and June 11th 9am-5pm. If you or your club might be interested in helping us out, OR if you have some information to make our car show more attractive to car enthusiasts, we would really love to hear from you. I have attached a copy of our Fete poster. (Very Groovy...) You will notice that it does not have a car show listed. I have to go to print with this but if I can get a car show together I would REALLY like to advertise it here! There will not be any registration fee and it will be a People's Choice like show. Thank you for even considering helping us out! We look forward to hearing from you. Remember this is a great cause and we need all the help we can get! All the best, Christine M. Christine...
It's a good cause and I hope the NJ boys can pull something together for you. I have changed the title of your thread to attract more interested parties. Best of Luck ron ClubCobra Moderator |
I think Steve is running the meet in PA that weekend.

Thanks for your help!
:) Christine |
Christine,
My event is actually the weekend before, so it shouldn't conflict with what you're doing. I'll certainly see if I can help get people out to your event. My wife lost her mother to breast cancer when my wife was 17 (her mother was around 45). Head on over to our clubs' website, www.midatlanticcobras.com and make a post. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions or want to chat. Steve |
Steve,
Thanks very much. I'll pop over to your site right now. Thanks! :) Christine |
Groovy Fete
Hi Christine, I might be able to make it. Will contact you later to let you know. My email is Supersnak26@yahoo.com. Bill O:cool:

Christine;
As you finalize the details just let us know and we'll be there. Good Luck! |
I'll try to make it too. Is it still on? I just happened across this thread and will make the effort if the show is still on.

I'll check with her again. I'm pretty sure it's still on. A group of us might caravan up there together. And if the original date for CRIII is rained out, that's our rain date, so we'll cruise up there after our event instead of the actual cruise we're planning.

Even if I go to the revolution the weekend before I will make it a point to head down there. I havent been down to Princeton yet in the Cobra, it should be a good gruise. Will it be near the Campus?

Dane:
If you head down the following weekend to Princeton, let me know. I will probably join you if you want some company. Also did you get my PM answering your questions on the Webers? Jim |
Jim: Yes I did, and thank you. I cant wait to have a good , solid conversation about them. What I need to know 1st and foremost , is whether they will fit in an SPF with a 460. The rest is the fun stuff. I have no idea how to measure, or where to measure the dimensions.
Princeton sounds good. It's always good to have company when you are more than 2 hours from home base. Im sure we can persuade Chaplin to take the ride down too. Im looking forward to it. We have a new addition coming this week so over the next few weeks I will be low profile for sure. Thanks again Jim. Dane |

Provided you have a hood scoop, they should. Must also make sure the scoop opening is large enough. They have a tendancy to suck in a lot of air (and fuel), when you kick in the mains. What makes it possible is that the manifold is canted 10 degrees. But we can talk about this more later. More importantly, best wishes to the new family addition. Hope everything goes well. jim |
Jim-
Don't talk to Dane about webers unless I'm there. I want to be the recepient of your insight as well, and I'd hate to make you have to go through it twice :) . Webers would good on my ERA, hmmm . . .**) |
Mike,
Now Webers? What happened to the Demon? Are we ever done improving our toys? If you guys go to Princeton let me know and I'll ride down with you. |
I will be at the Princeton event also. I am looking forward to seeing/meeting you folks at CR III and the Princeton show.

Not sure if I can make the Cobra Revolution or not- I may have a wedding that weekend. Rob- It would be good to see you again. We are thinking about a ride down the shore this weekend if weather is good, are you around? |
Chaplin,
You're going to let a wedding stop you from a pack of Cobras?? Come to the Revolution in your tux. You'll make quite an impression. :D I've been extremely busy, but I've gotten several questions if I had heard anything more about the Princeton show. I will get in touch with the young lady who started the thread (we had exchanged e-mails when this all started) and let her know we're going to have a group coming. I know you guys are already in Jersey, but a group of us are likely going to meet in Washingtons' Crossing that morning and take a nice cruise out there if anyone else is interested. Steve |
