Charlotte area enthusiast get-together
Happy New Year folks!
I figured since our collective group's population center has gradually gravitated more toward the Charlotte area now than Mooresville, it might be a good time to update the name / thread... that's all. Monthly get together for January 2017: Saturday, January 14th @ 08:30 Acropolis Café & Grille 20659 Catawba Ave, Cornelius NC 28031 (I-77 Exit 28) Forecast looks a little iffy overnight Friday, but hopefully everything will be cleared out by our monthly breakfast time Saturday morning. RK Motors is also hosting an open house / show at their facility in Charlotte this Saturday. I stopped by today to scout out things… they invited us to come in the back way to avoid their parking lot speed bumps & to park together better. They’ve got some very impressive inventory right now, including a dedicated pit of cobras, and one very awesome Daytona Coupe I’m tempted to negotiate my left kidney for. Hello from cold Connecticut NC/VA cobra club. Just wondering if you all have any cruises planned in April or May. I'd love to load up a car and head south for some driving. Love to drive the Smokey Hwy or so many of those great cruising roads in the western edges of your states. Please let me know if there is something planned or maybe I can get the ball rolling. Thanks

No specific driving trips planned yet for April or May. The weekend of April 8th is the Charlotte Auto Fair.... some of our crowd normally heads there for that. Other than that though, it doesn't take much convincing for a mountain drive any time. Just let us know when you decide what weekend you're planning to get away and I'll get the word out & be happy to help map mal out some routes!

Coyote, Thanks for the reply and I'm just trying to fight off the winter cabin fever and get the cars out! I'll work on a date for a specific weekend and let you know in advance. Takes me about 18hrs to get there (asheville) with the trailer so I hope I can spend a Fri, Sat and Sun. cruising the area. Praying for Spring!! Thanks again

This Saturday’s forecast is looking picture perfect, so I hope you’re ready to pull that car out & come help fill the parking lot again with a sea of serpentine bliss. I think our record was 19 cars a few years ago... it’d be great to get a photo shot of that many again or more if you’re available.

Streetside Classics in Concord is hosting a cruise-in this Saturday, July 28 from 9am-noon.

As long as cars are running & lies are flowing, we'll keep meeting for breakfast every 2nd Saturday at 08:30.
We've been meeting at the Mooresville Steak 'n Shake lately, and will continue there unless otherwise noted. Hope to see you there! |
