| Jamo's 2003 Kirkham 427S/C |
I wanted something simple, loud, raw and brutal...
When I saw Tom Kirkham's personal car with a simple brushed surface in Provo back in 2002, I nicknamed the approach as a "bare naked lady" (BNL). Having enjoyed a Butler Cobra for several years, I wasn't sure whether to take the plunge, but Cheerleader (da wifey) basically told me cut through the BS and do it once, do it right, and get it from Mary's Family...period. Wrote my "contract" on the raw arruminum fender with a Sharpie. Took several trips to Provo to make sure Davey Boy and Tom could fit the tin can around my ass, but they did it...the first Big and Tall BNL model, KMP184.
Went to Joe Boghosian here in Fresno for the big lumpy 482ci Shelby arruminum monster, and David Kee provided the toploader.
Driven everywhere...to work, for ice cream, for hundreds of miles in extreme heat and the rain, on the road, in the hills and on the track. |
