| PatBuckley's 2003 CAV/Shelby GT40 |
After owning an ERA and a Kirkham I had the opportunity to buy a GT40 from Shelby American and decided it was time. It was one of two sold by Shelby and was built for his 80th birthday - the car has a unique interior - instead of the usual single color (dark grey) the car has some red trim as well. The serial number also reflects the event - being #80 - an out of sequence number assigned to this car for the occasion.
I installed a 5 speed ZF transmisson in it along with a Keith Craft 331 small block. It has a hydraulic roller cam and about 9.5 :1 compression.
I also included a picture of my ERA - #535 and of the Kirkham parked in front of the GT40. |

Those black wheels on the GT40 look great Pat. It looks like it's ready to take on Le Mans. |
