Attendees,

As we discussed on Saturday night during WSCB 2005 at the Hospitality Suite during the awards sessions, we now have a new WSCB Forum on ClubCobra.

We are very excited by all of your emails, forum posts, and phone calls about how it went. Amazing. As a result, we are already formulating the gameplan for next year. Thank You Very Much for ALL that attended the WSCB 2005 first annual gathering. Its a unanimous vote, ALL of the attendees of 2005 are appointed "Charter Members" of the Western States Cobra Bash. We are working on some charter member shirts...

Get ready for WSCB 2006!

I hope that I have the right area for the feedback that you asked for. 1) COMMUNICATIONS - EXCELLENT. You kept us aware of what was going on through out the pre-event and also during the event. Thank you for all of the EXTRA effort that you did in this area. 2) ANNOUNCERS STAND : the location was bad at the north end of the area. Next year try for a more central location, like the tent. I say this because the hotel's music system was blocking out your PA system. If possible, get the hotel system turned off during your announcements. 3) COBRA PARKING: if you plan to have a "special" area for "special" people then please let us know in advance so that we don't inadvertanly park in "their" area. I arrived on Thursday and found a nice spot, on Friday I placed a couple of my items in my spot and drove off to clean the radiator of dead bugs / debris. When I returned my items had been moved into a back line area and my spot was taken by cars which were parked diagonally. If the high dollar trailered guys want a special area then just let me know and I'll gladly move my driven car out of their way. 4) A map of gas station locations within a couple of miles would help. It was a four mile drive to the nearest station to the south but only a mile to the one to the north, yea, I flipped a coin and drove south first before I found the one up north. Also, include on the map a location of the nearest car wash with self-service. 5) SECURITY - Outstanding !!! Don't change a thing. 6) HOTEL STAFF - Terrific, they were all courteous and knowledgable. 7) NEW EVENT - ( assuming the same location) how about a twilight drive to Lake Tahoe on Friday evening. We could leave about 5:00pm in small groups and have dinner and drive back to Reno right at sunset. 8) NEW EVENT - A driver's challange course ( skill test) made with orange cones in an unused area of the hotel parking lot. The cost could be a couple of bucks with the winner taking all. 9) DRIVING SAFETY - This was the WORST convoy that I have ever been on in a Cobra. Enroute to Fernley on I-40 I was driving at speeds as low as 30 mph with semis passing me doing 60+. The speed differential was way too much to be safe. Please, please, please, next time break the cars up into groups of 5 to 7 and let them drive at normal speeds. 10) EVENTS - GREAT ! The Fernley road course was worth the admission alone. The drive to Virginia City was frosting on the cake. The Bucket of Blood Saloon ( popcorn and beer for lunch) was fun. 11) OVERALL GRADE - "A" and that's considering an " F" for the I-40 drive. THANKS for the memories, John

John, I like the idea of a Friday night twilight drive. We were so close to Lake Tahoe but didn't get to see it.

John,
Thanks for all the feedback. We have about 30 emails now and a pretty good idea on what to adjust; where its reasonable and affordable. You guys got a 3-day gathering for $10 a day. After the tab got returned, looks like we'll have to adjust that too in order to better cover some of the stuff you mentioned above.

I'm still waiting to see if the hotel/casino will have us back next year after some of those healthy burnouts on the fresh parking lot during the last group video taping. Ugh.
We'll see.

Congrats to Duane. Excellent event! You are the MAN!!

Shirley & I just got home today Sat. May 28 from vacation in Utah.

Do we have your E-mail in our packet?

Brent...really nice to get better acquainted.

So many people, so many cars, but so little time!!!

What I liked was the excellent balance...time to visit AND time to enjoy our rides! Excellent; not over-scheduled. We need to keep that feature next year.

How about that sunshine? (beats the heck out of Oregon rain!!)
