Who Works on Your Cobra In Chicagoland Area
As a new Backdraft Cobra owner I have come to realize that I am not going to be able to fix everything that may go wrong with it. I am pretty handy but may need mechanical help down the road and want to know of a shop/person or two that has done good work for you in the past. Just trying to prepare myself if I end up in a bind. I am located in Antioch Illinois which is just West of Gurnee on IL/WI border. Any references would be appreciated. Scott

I highly recommend Perfect Power in Buffalo Grove for your car. The owner Sol, is a wealth of knowledge in many different car types (emphasis on high performance porsches, bmws, and race cars). He has been around for a long time and is an excellent mechanic/builder.
Morris Clement takes his car there http://kitcar.automotive.com/62197/0...-sc/index.html
Tell him Arno sent you, you'll be very well treated (I hope! ). If anything just a visit to his shop to see all the toys and amazing machines is worth the trip down!

You can always check witht the WCCC first. Among us, we have probably fixed (and broken) all there is. Some burgers on the grill and a few beers goes a long way to getting a pit crew...

Very cool...they are very close to me. I go to Volo auto museum twice a month and never noticed them. I will stop in and see them. Thanks, Scott

Great guy and got my cobra working right. Solved my clutch slave issue. Met him through another cobra owner. His boys run Miatas and Legend cars with NASA Midwest.
You can also call Frank at Komet Motorsports

Jimbo and I have had our cars there. He fixed my waterpump and oil leak. Very clean shop and takes the time to talk to you.

Snowgoer,
Hope you're not having trouble already!
Komet Motorsports (Frank and Kurt) and Eurotoys (Mike). They have both been great. PM me if you want to talk...
