May 1 - JC Whitney car show
A friend of mine told me about this car show put on by JC Whitney on May 1st.
I keep telling him about our cool club. He said that he is going to this show and thought it would be cool to see a bunch of Cobras. I'm thinking about going to check it out, the problem is its about 90 miles away?? Think my car would make it? And who would I follow? I got no maps! Could be fun! I could wear my kilt!
The next JC Whitney car show will be held on Sunday May 1st 2011 at our LaSalle Illinois facility from 9:00 am until 4:00 PM Route 6 just west of Route 178 (Souh of I-80 exit #81)
Free Registration 9:00 am until Noon.
Dash Plaques given to the first 200 to register.
All Trucks, Cars and Motorcycles welcome.
Trophies awarded to top 3 in each class.
Cash prize and Trophies for Best of Show.
Participants Judges ballots handed out at noon.
Trophies provided by ADventure

I could be interested if I get the car cleaned up by then. I have not cleaned it up from all the driving last year.

Has anyone preregistered? What class did you use? D for '65 original, K for '65 street machine, or something else?

If I bring the Cobra back to Illinois, it is likely that I'll join you guys!
I should be back the day before the run.

Weather looks OK, so I am planning on going. Wolfie, any plans to meet and go in as a group or for breakfast???
Since I am coming from Rockford I may just meet the group there or on the road if I know the route the group is going.

I know that I started this thread, but I'm geographically challenged, I don't know north from south I'm almost as bad as Rich M. I suppose that I could enter the address into the gps and race like hell to get there, although back roads would be a lot more fun.
I'm to tired tonight to even figure out how to get there. I'll make a point to check out some routes tomorrow. If anybody has any suggestions I'm always open. I hope the weather will be favorable.
