Default May 12-18 - Tail of the Dragon- Visit Gary and Nancy!

Hello everyone,

Rich S., Nirmit and I are going to drive down to check out the Tail of the Dragon May 12 to May 16th. (Nirmit will be driving back on the 15th)

Got a hold of Nancy and they are free the 13th. If you are interested in joining us please do. I won't be driving the cobra. Mazda will have to do this time. From what I can tell Rich will be taking his cobra down there.

Sid

Sid: I had to cancel out of a tail of the dragon trip a couple years ago - always wanted to go. Sounds like a great trip and to hook up with Gary and Nancy -too cool. I'll check schedule and see what I can do. No cobra .... are you serious (or did you break it?)?

Make sure that you get the contacts for the photographers on the road--they post the pics on line you just need time and date to find them--great shots of car and scenery

We've always wanted the drive the Tail, but that weekend is the Lotus track day at Blackhawk farms, so we'll be headed there.

Its south of the Knoxville area---probably good 9 -10 hours plus 45 minutes on tail and 1 hour at the end plus another 45 minutes down to Robbinsville for hotel

Or if your still up for it take the Cherohala Skyway back over towards Athens Tn on I75

Go do the round trip of both roads---the tail you will drive non stop for 45 minutes--watch out for the crotchrockets coming the other way in the sharp switchbacks--on the skyway, take your time and stop for the views and some pics
