I might be able to sneek away for a Snake & Eggs, but need to get back early to set up for a family party on Sunday. How about that place we went to up near in Gages Lake, sat outside had breakfast and bloodymarys, kind of a biker bar? Does anyone know the place, maybe Buddy?

RedSnake351 06-21-2011 04:09 PM

Fred:
There was that place in McHenry that sounds like that!
I e-mailed Gene from Appleton, WI and Elgin about the run. He had asked me a couple of days ago to do something.

I agree, If you had not stated a thread I was going to.

What about Lake Geneva? We did this a few years ago and had lunch. We could push it early and have an early lunch if that helps you Fred.

OR go for b'fast and those who want to go farther can go up to Lake Geneva for a drive and lunch???

Not familiar with Gages Lake; we are willing to consider it, though.

Damn, it will be October before we see mid 70's again, now in the mid 90's with alot of fire smoke, if you want to drive your cobra it has to be early in the morning or late afternoon.. Global warming is in full effect here

sawadeedude 06-21-2011 07:17 PM

Saturday's Ride!!

:)This is something that I could be talked into!

RedSnake351 06-21-2011 07:47 PM

Hey Robert, try 105 with a lot of fire and smoke in Arizona, you ain't seen nothin' yet! Well, actually me neither, I only spend the winter months there.

Yeah, let's go driving!

How about Marengo or Union, IL. Don't they have a Train or Western town with a place to have breakfast, this would be middle of the road between the city slickers and the country boys and the early morning ride would be great. The city boys could meet and ride in from the east and the country boys could ride in from the west, meet in the center of town and have a shootout? Anyone know of a place out that away?

RichMusson 06-22-2011 06:42 AM

Fred
I am kind of in the same boat as you. I need to work on the move-in. But I would really like to go for, at least, a little ride. I am definitely in for breakfast but then need to get back to the chores.
Let me know where we are meeting.

Bob Malmen 06-22-2011 08:28 AM

I have got some ideas, how early so you want to meet up for breakfast?

mdmull 06-22-2011 09:26 AM

Let's start early - the cityfolk will negotiate a later time as usual.
Let's see, sunrise is 5:19 on Saturday, & everyone should at least be awake. SSS - 30 min, quick cup of coffee - 10 min, drive time average - 45 min.
BREAKFAST @ 6:44AM - Pick a spot!

Badman 06-22-2011 09:49 AM

Guys,

Deal me in.

snake oil 06-22-2011 01:49 PM

I'll probably be tied up fixin that stupid leak ......

RichMusson 06-23-2011 04:42 AM

Wait a second ---
Mike ---
Should I be offended?

Am I part of the ‘city folk’ to which you refer or not? Name one time I negotiated ……….. Oh yea, you might be right; never mind........... Sorry.

Bob Malmen 06-23-2011 06:54 AM

My original plan was to attend the Tom Peck Ford car show at RT 47 and I90. Now that there is some interest in doing a ride I propose we meet at the Harmony Road house for Breakfast. It’ simple location for everyone, exit route 20 at the Hampshire truck stop. Then head west about 2 miles and it’s on the left side, they have large lot. Lets say 8:00 / 8:30 based upon the turnout we can head out for a couple hour ride. We can end the ride at Tom Peck around 11:30 arrive as group take a walk around the show, then go our own ways at 47 and I 90. Let the comments begin!

Wait a second I have a comment....... I thought it was to be at 6:44am.

Now I am confused. I feel the need to negotiate and to comment -- I am just saying

Badman 06-23-2011 07:56 AM

Guys,

See everyone at 8:00AM

mdmull 06-23-2011 10:05 AM

Rich - Frank negotiated in your behalf.
