Wish me luck and good weather
This thursday (April 19) I fly to NC and pick up my Cobra and drive it home. Should take two days and the forcast looks good currently. Travis at Gordon Levy east should have about 200 miles on it before I arrive. This should shake out any bugs, I hope.
Wish me good weather and that the Cobra runs good.
I likely will not take my laptop.

Lee,
That will be a great trip for you to get used to your Cobra. I hope the weather stays nice and that everything goes great on the trip. Congratulations on the new car.

Not a new car, i had Travis add the second roll bar and look into the wiring harness. I have had it four years and put almost 20,000 miles on it.
Now we are better protected in case something happens and when I take it to the track for HPDS the instructor will ride with me.
Of course taking the body off leads to more.....

Torsen Diff.
New seats from FFR
Add heaters to the seats.
New dash layout (my own design)
Improved fuel lines to the tripower set up.
Other misc things.
Note, between Travis Blazer and Gordon Levy they have built about 150 Cobras, most of them FFRs.

I made it back a few hours ago. All went well, no major issues and I was checked in to a hotel last night when the bad weather hit. They let me park under the overhang of the entrance. The manager owns a M3 and runs it on a track. Sometimes it is good to be lucky.
MAN does that thing corner better!!!!!

About 900 miles.
Now I have put over 20,000 miles on the Cobra in about 4 years.
I want to say that Travis Blazer did a great job on my Cobra. Good guy and knows Cobras and hot rods. I would highly recommend him for any job.

Lee: I've been out of town for a while, glad to hear you got back without any issues. Road America better watch out when you come a calling. Travis will get to do my tranny once I get it out and sent off to him.
