Hey this seems like a great event. I am willing to take on the "blues" of Lee and Fred even though I am at a disadvantage. Maybe we could get a few silvers out like Sid and Jim. We can even sneek another Blue in too, Rich.

What do you think?

I'm also very interested, we should plan on going up Friday night and making a weekend event out of it.

This is absolutely one of the best groups to put on a track event and the fact that it is at Road America is a bonus. One of the "bestest" tracks ever built. I wish I could go this year but we will be in Savananah Georgia that week.

I would encourage anyone who wants to experience a first quiality group of guys and a first quality track to attend. Good Luck Gary with your event.

Lee: I agree. I hope to have the upgraded running gear back installed by then, plus the full roll bar. Looks like good motivation to get my work done.

I am backing out of this one. July is too hot and I am looking at Sept for some other chances to get on RA.

I also found only one open slot on Friday and one on Sunday for this event.

Suggest we remove it as a sticky

I changed my mind and have just signed up for this event on Sunday July 29. The weather forecast is for the mid 80s in Elkhart Lake, sunny with 20% chance of rain. I could not ask for better weather in JULY. I hope it stays that way.

This should leave only 2 open slots for Sunday per the web site. Technically sign up is closed, but the event is not full on Sunday or Friday, so if you contact the person via e-mail he should be able to get 2 more in, if anyone in the WCCC is interested (Fred?).

I will likely stay in a hotel the night before so I do not have to get up so early.

ANYONE interested in joining me???? It cost me $310.

Weather looks good for the day so if someone wants to set up a trip to RA on Sunday all are welcome. I think the admission is $5 or $10 for these track events and the paddlock is open to all.

I had a great day at RA, weather was good until the end of the day. That cost me one session, but I had four sessions so I feel good about that. I did PASS several cars so I also feel good about that. My instructor said I did well, gave me some pointers and said have fun. I did that and kept the rubber side down and the shinny side up.

Meet some nice people, fellow Cobra owners (Terry and Gary) and one guy that build FFR 34 Ford (Tom) and a FFR challenge car (since sold to Terry).

I am looking forward to more track days like this one and hope others in the WCCC will join me or come out to visit at the track.

Thinking about going again, this time at Blackhawk in Sept.

I hope to get photos and short videos on a web site sometime.

I hope this works. I down loaded a video on utube, but it is un-edited so 24 minutes long. I am a novice track driver so do not be too critical, but do enjoy. I timed at about 3.08 per lap.
