Still so much to do, may not be able to drive, but please start with a S&E so people can pick up t-shirts and sweatshirts. Thanks!

Sorry Kate, but maybe we can have a S &E in Oct. see follow for the details.
Sunday looks a little warmer and we have more people that can attend, so we will plan on Sunday, unless the weather changes.

Planning to leave our home at 9:30 AM with a pit stop in Forreston, then on to Poopy"s in Savannah arriving about 12:30.

The roads are great, but I want to point out there are some sharp turns that are unmarked with no recommended speed, so we must be careful. The link below is the route we will take. I want several of you to print this, in case we get separated.

Poopy's address is:

Poopy's Pub

1030 Viaduct Rd
Savanna, IL 61074

Well...if I leave Kenosha by 7:30am, I can be in Rockford by 9:30 Sunday. Kelly won't make the trip since she's in a local production of Steve Martin's "Underpants" with a 2pm show on Sundays. (7:30pm Fridays and Saturdays for the next three weeks). |

Thank you, Karlene and Lee, for taking the time laying out the awesome back-roads route and destinations. Perfect weather after the initial frostbites subsided upon arriving in Rockford and the sun shined down on the Cobras the rest of the day.
The food quality and portions at Poopy's was great and no complaints had to be registered with the local health department. Unless someone speaks up to the contrary, I think everyone was very satisfied after the lunch.
I don't want to rub this in but all who missed this great outing really lost out. But to be really honest, I do want to rub it in!

I agree with Ralph, lots of fun and some of the best roads you can find around, (we all wish they were closer, but we are use to that by now). I hope someone got some pics of 8 cobras sitting "in the front row" at the biker hangout, we definitely gave them something to talk about.
Thanks Karlene and Lee for a most enjoyable trip, glad to see a good turnout! Also, we should thank Cindy and Bob from driving over to take pics out in the boonies.
