Sounds like a great ideaI would be there, heading out from the western suburbs

EDIT: Hey, Ralphie. I noticed that the Board doesn't show this as a 'new' or 'updated' thread. So, I wonder if anyone will see it.
Perhaps, if there is an e-mail group you/we could drive interest in that manner.

Depending who is going and where they're coming from, would dictate if a central meeting place could work. Let's have some input from those planning to go.
Clasen's Tavern in Union, Illinois is easily reached by using I-90 or Rt 20. and is a few hundred yards from the Railroad Museum.
Two weeks away, who's going?

I am out of Downers Grove - the western suburbs
If anyone else is headed up, we can rally and cruise to Union, IL:
 Streets of Schaumburg ?
 I355 and Hobson ?

Else, I'll see you at Clasen's Ralphie

 Roy

(OH, weather permitting - cold is okay, but I don't have a top for rainy days)

I'll probably be at Road America for the Vintage festival that day. Sorry Ralph.
On another note, I see no one made plans for the Meadowdale event this year or the British Car Show at Harper College?

Geez guys, Our Director can't do everything for the club! A few of you need to step up....

Roy, the lunch is still on. I hope the weatherman is wrong but he predicts a little moisture Saturday morning.
Getting a response from members about committing for an event nowadays, is like pulling hens' teeth!

It wasn't like that years ago when someone asked about going on a run, people would let you know with a 'yes' or 'no'. And back then we had no problem having 10, 15 and sometimes more showing up for a jaunt in the countryside.

Roy, our club members' enthusiasm is not what it once was, the thrill seems to be gone.

 Ralphie

 Hey Raplhie
I saw a few confirmations on e-mail - Lee and 'PilotDad' said they will be there
 SO we will see

I know that clubs ebb and flow - it will be great again
Kate does a great job of bringing folks together, and new peeps realize their Cobra dreams every day.

I'll suck it up if there's some mist, and I've e-mailed with a suggested route to Union from the western suburbs.

 Roy

Ralph, you may want to email everyone. I don't believe most members frequent CC to often anymore. I'm back from Watkins Glen and may pass on Road America this weekend. If so, I'll make the run to Union, weather permitting.

Also, another DG resident called just now; he's game if the weather holds out
See you up there about 11:30

				 Say what?
 So Ralph,
We are all just meeting at the place for lunch?
That's the plan?

Weather permitting...
I'll try to snake away from the house for a while...
