Default New(old) member of the club returning ?

First of all, I would like to say hi to all the members of WCCC, a group I belonged to back in '05 or so. I stepped away from the club back then, shortly before my Dad became ill, and passed away. I moved since then, out to the Rockford area, specifically to Roscoe. I came across the club cobra site recently, and wondered how the local club was doing, and what activities are going on. The only members whose posts I recognize are Blas', Snake Oil's, and Red Snake's. C Dog, I believe was the President of the Club at that time, or maybe Mark Weseman. I also wonder if Sid is still with the group. He was in the process of getting his new Backdraft Cobra together at another member's garage, his name escapes my memory though.

Hope you are all doing well- hope to possibly purchase a built FFR in 2020, after I purchase a new house. I'm retired, recently divorced, and looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

Hi Robert,
The WCCC is pretty much disbanded. Just little clicks of people still meeting up on Rare occasions. Sadly, a few people have died, and a few have moved away. Some have just sold their cars for health reasons. Some just bought corvettes for AC, heat, dry feet, radios and cup holders.
I attempted to rekindle interest 2 or 3 years ago, but nothing came of it.
Good luck.
Blas

Default The Future of WCCC

Hi Blas- that is sad to hear, but in today's busy and transient society, it's not un heard of. Who has passed away? Who's moved? Are Sid and Mark still around?Do you still have a breakfast or a meet up at any of the local car shows?

-Bob

Robert, Red Snake Ralphie still spends summers somewhere around the Chicago area before escaping back to AZ for the winters.
He's evil, wicked, mean, and nasty, don't step on the grass man.
