Sid- When were you planning on leaving? Are you going to ride w/ anybody? Or driving out there yourself? I thought you'd have your Cobra in time to take it to Ohio(just kidding!) Where are you leaving from? Elk Grove?

I plan on leaving on Friday morning from Elk Grove unless we have a meeting place determinded prior. Which ever will work with me. Now if my job wont let me take the day off then I'll leave sat. Now all of this does not matter if I have a cobra yet or not. If not i take my car. I have not asked anyone for a ride yet. At the next meeting I'm sure we will have the details. Remember don't have a meeting without me! I'm in NJ now...Tuesday I'll be visiting Tristatemotorsports!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope the weather is gonna be good.
 sid

PS I got a PT job with Oxford and also got an offer from Standard Register also PT. WooHoo!!!!!

is it worth 100 bucks? Depends...If you have a cobra and plan on participating in all the events then I think yes. But if your going just to hang out...But this is just my opinion. I will still go. It's cobras!!!

				 Da FLING
 Robert,
You better believe it's worth it and more !
First off have you seen the schedule for this year?
I suggest you take a look at it !
THREE, Count them THREE days of fun and Cobras for a $100 bill.

THIS IS DA PLACE TO BE !
( IF, you love Cobras. )
Besides all of that, Don't foregt it is for charity after all.
And if that does not convince you,
Where in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD can you be next to over
TWO HUNDRED COBRAS ALL AT ONE TIME ?
Man I still remeber the first year I went...
Hearing all of them start at one time... is a little short of well, I.....well, come to think of it,
I can't think of anything related to cars that is better!!!!!

Man I'll tell you what, IF, YOU GO you will;

1). have a great time
2). make some new friends
3). you will carry away some great memories
4).and best of all you will have fun and donate to a worthy cause.

SORRY Bob, I Don't see a downside here.
Other than the money, but, you will have long forgotten about the money and still be telling people about the great time you had!!!

				 DVSF III
 A couple things:
$100 Registration for DVSF 3 -- I do think its worth it. Ive never been to a Fling, but the website does list a whole lot of activities that will cost somebody money to organize. Also, I think a good deal of money goes to charity, which is a good cause.

Mail Listserver -- We try to keep this updated with everyones info. I do update my personal WCCC e-mail list all the time, so if someone has something that they need to go club wide, email to me at windycitycobras@hotmail.com and I can resend to everyone.

Also, this site is great for getting info to everyone. I think a lot of people come on here at least once a week.

I think you will be real hard pressed to find anyone who attended last year to that would say it isn't worth $100. Not me! Some folks spent MANY thousands to attend. Another hundred is change to them (not to me, but then it is in my back yard)!
ALL profit goes to Cystic Fibrosis. Yes it DOES cost a lot to put this event on. Even with all the labor be free of charge. The catering bill for the lake event alone was over $5000. There where a number of empty passenger seats last year so even with out a car you should be able to find a ride. If you are looking to buy a car, like some of you have indicated, there is NO better place to look and compare and talk to the owners. That alone is worth $100. Every manufacturer will be there and every combination you can think off (some I NEVER would have thought of).

 See you there!
 Rick

 Update:
Looking to still get a cobra but looks like I have to move it to next year. I just can't swing it right now. I will still be participating in WCCC events but from a cobraless standpoint. I will own a cobra. Just not now.
