The local cable network is calling to request permission to film the picnic, make sure you shine up your cars.

It’s a long story on how they found out about it.

Hello again, this should be the last post from me on this event, I would like to thank every one for attending, it was a great time my wife and I really had fun, matter of fact so much fun that we did not take any pictures, she thought I had the camera and I thought she had the camera, yeah you guessed it we have no photo memories of the picnic, so if any one has digital pictures and would like to email them please do.

Thanks Agian

Jenny Car

Hi Guys:

Juanone from Louisville here. I am relatively a newcomer here so please forgive my ignorance. Why do you call this car The Kirkham Jenny car. Was it won at some raffle or lottery?

Anyway it is a beautiful car nevertheless. Any responses welcome.

Ohh,Oh! I know, I know! Stretching his hand high over the rest of the class trying to answer, porbably the only question he knows ;)

Instead the teacher calls on "BOB", (Robert) sitting in the back of the room, looking all nochalant without a care in the world.

DV...Bob knows! :)

Tony Ripepi 08-10-2003 04:40 PM

Hello Juanone,

The Kirkham Team Jenny Aluminum FIA car and my FFR Daytona Team Jenny car were both won at the Double Venom Spring Fling Events. They were won on $50 Raffle tickets and the FRR Daytona and the Kirkham were donated by the respective manufacturers.

My FFR wasa $20,000 dollar kit and the was won in June of 2002, the Kirkham is a complete car with engine , transmission, and all of the components donated by a wide variety of Cobra vendors, the labor to assemble the Kirkham was donated by Ed Combs of Elite aka Double Venom. The Kirkham car was won in June of 2003 on a $50 raffle ticket. The 2003 dobnation to CF exceeded $100,000.

All of the proceeds from the DVSF events are donated to Cystic Fibrosis in the name of Jenny Smith a five year old that is afflicted with this terrible disease. The name "Team Jenny" applies to the people that set up, organize, run , donate to, participate in the Spring Fling events. Jenny is the daughter of David Smith one of the founders and owner of Factory Five Racing and she is in our thoughts and prayers.

Hope that helps,

Tony Ripepi....Not Sleepy Bob in the back of the room.
