Considering new Radar Detector

Newest Radar/Laser

Passport 8500 X50 - retails for $299.99 (red display)
Price breaks at 3 and then 10 units...(5% and 10%)
No tax, Split shipping costs...

Know anything about the Valentine 1?
I hear it's the best.
$399 and no quantity discounts.
Ungradeable...

Decisions - decisions - decisions......

Any thoughts?

Blas -

I have been using Valentine 1 for the last few years and love it. Directional indicator is very helpful. It tends to be little too sensitive but I'd rather have that than otherwise.

No experience with Passport 8500 though.

I've got a V1 but I haven't got it to work in the SPF. Not sure why but powering off the cigarette lighter sends it off as soon as you start up the car. Maybe someone can help out here?

As far as I am concered there is no decision. The Valentine 1 with the remote display head (about the size of a half a pack of cigarettes) is the way to go. Where to mount it in a permanent postion is the challenge.

Does anyone have a V1 mounted inside the nose radiator air intake, say, on the top of it, out of sight?
