Cobra insurance (not the medical kind)

Hagerty has NOT written Cobra replica insurance for several years now. and they DID have restricitions as i had 3 cars with them for several years until they started not handling cobra replicas.

BDR is an abbreviation for the 'Backdraft Racing' brand of cobra replica, like SPF is an abbreviation for Superformance.

insurance continues to be tougher to get on these cars and more expensive. their claims ratio experience on these were high, hence more and more are getting out of covering them and being more restrictive when they do cover them...with increasing rates.

I am with state farm, and while initially they wanted an apraisal on the car, in the end they only asked for pictures of it and a list of major components.

I have no limits on mileage, was able to suspend liability for winter storage (at first they offered me a limited milage policy for a lower rate with no winter suspension).
I didn't want the limited milage and wanted to be able to drive to work occassionally (I park in my building at work).

I am 38 years old, single, no recent citations (and nothing ever more than moderate speeding).
My rate is under $600 a year on the Cobra, but I also have 4 other cars with them.

How about taxes when you go to tag the car? I can only imagine what it takes to get it tagged also. Who's got the poop?
