St. Charles North HS Car Show/Snake & Eggs

On May 20th, from 11:00 AM to 2PM at the school (Rt 31 and Red Gate Rd. ) is the 3rd Annual SCNHS show to raise a little cash for the automotive tech & the refurbishing of a '66 Mustang by the auto shop classes. My daughter Alex would LOVE to have her WCCC peeps attend. The cost is $5.00 which does include a FREE Lunch. (just when we believed there was no such thing). It will of course be preceded by a Snake & Eggs (Manor Restaurant, Edington drive, South Elgin. West of Randall Rd. Turn in @ Thornwood Dr. & make 1st Right - 1/2 block on left side. Right behind McDonalds on Randall just south of MacDonald Road. Time: 9:00 AM ). Afterward proceed about 2 1/2 miles to St. Charles High School en masse. Shop teacher will probably give Alex extra credit if a bunch show up. (like 1 point for a red car, 1/2 point for gray & no deduction at least for blue cars) just kidding.

I know this is the rain date for Byron, but some of the guys would be more successful at the show.

HI everyone,

Sounds like fun; deal me in.

RichMusson 05-13-2006 08:34 AM

Ralph,
Watch it! - I normally keep very quiet when people start talking about the speed of their cars. I mean me with a 5 cyclinder engine and all.
However, I doubt that your car could catch mine or any of the other 'Blue Richies' - not withstanding the fact that your car is Red.
Maybe it's all those colored stripes that would slow you up? After all one of them is Blue, right?

Just sign me - One of the Richies

Alright. Somebody call Sid. The car show on the 20th and Byron on the 21st.

Calling Sid. Clean your car for the show on Saturday. A coat of wax may knock a couple of tenths off of your time on Sunday at the track.

Sid are you out there?

mdmull 05-15-2006 10:50 AM

We need a before car for the show, Either Sid or Shelby, don't both of you wash your car. Check first post, It's updated with Snake & Eggs info.

Need a Rain Date for the Rain Date!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but better get ready to pick a rain date for the rain date!

Friday (24 hours): Mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the upper 40s.
Saturday (24 hours): Few showers. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the mid 40s.
Sunday (24 hours): More sun than clouds. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the upper 40s.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that whatever the weather is it's not going to be what they today.

mdmull 05-17-2006 07:12 PM

If weather is good, Who's coming? They are going to reserve a "Snake Pit" for us if I can give them an idea of attendance.

Me
Kim
Frank
Chris
Wolfie
Jeff??
Ralph
Joe A.
Rich M
Bruce - Late
Marty
Fred + a Chevy
(10+ and counting) I put Jeff in but the cloudless forecast isn't in yet & if he actually is planning on Sunday @ Byron, we all know he can't play two days in a row.

CHRIS DAMSCH 05-17-2006 08:09 PM

I will be there with both cars.

jeffko 05-17-2006 08:55 PM

I'm looking to break a few records Mike.

RedSnake351 05-17-2006 10:49 PM

I'll be dare!
And what kind of records is Jeffko going to break at the High School? Broad Jumping?
Ralph :MECOOL:

Badman 05-18-2006 05:28 AM

Please add Joe A's name to the attendee list.

RichMusson 05-18-2006 07:34 AM

Mike,
Looks like you have more Red cars then Blue planning to attend. So, I assume that if I show-up I will not adversely effect the extra credit that Alex would otherwise receive? If that's true count me in. However, you know what means, I will need help with the directions.

Rich
