Anybody see any Corvettes in the Shadows??
On Sept. 16th, some of my "Cobra" associates are going to Byron Dragway & participate in the "test & tune" runs. We'll be there early & among the first to run @ 10:00 AM. The Fox Valley Corvette Club, who wimped out in May, are rumored to show up & the really daring among them might perchance line up opposite one or two of our cars. Most likely, they'll show up to watch again. I think they're skeeered of snakes.
Seriously, it's a great time to see how your car runs, they are pretty informal at Byron & you can run 1/4 miles on a straight, level course with no driveways or cops. Great fun. I guess if I was a Corvette driver, I'd pray for rain Michael (second best) |

I'm sure that there are faster vettes out there, we just have never seen them run. Heck some of our guys only run in the low twelves. Oops did I scare the chebbies away again?

Frank, they're skeered enough. Dont let them know there are actual fast cars coming, even the possibility of rain will keep them away now. Maybe Fred will represent GM

Apparently there isn't a pot to stir. The Corvette guys are waiting for their Izods to come back from the laundry, or their cars to come back from the detailer. The Cobra guys are still patching up their cars from the past few months. We'll have to lie to get a lane from Byron at this point.

I have a guy that works with me that has an 80's vette.
I'm trying to get him to go so far he's biting. let's see if Ican reel'm in....:rolleyes: maybe if I promise to bring the 69 mach one... maybe I can convince him to show. Those two cars should be pretty even. |
I see a Corvette in the shadows every time I go into my garage. What I'd really like to see is the shadow of a brand new Cobra laying across it! :)
