WCCC Snake & Eggs Breakfast - And Tech Event

Saturday, September 29, 2007
Snake Power Performance / D&M Motorsports
22 W 231 North Avenue, Glen Ellyn, Illinois
WCCC Snake & Eggs Breakfast at ~8:30am at (local to be announced).
Then gathering at the Snake Power Performance shop at ~10am.

Ward Brady, owner of Snake Power Performance and Mike Colando, owner of D&M Motorsports, have kindly offered the members of the Windy City Cobra Club an opportunity to bring their Cobra’s to his shop and get them up on a lift for a free tech inspection.

This would be a great time to meet Ward and his crew, his son Ward III. and his installer Brian, and to see his new installation shop behind the D&M Motorsports facility. Non WCCC members withs cars and those interersted in the Club or the cars are also welcome to attend.

Ward can answer any questions you may have and make recommendations for any maintenance or modifications on your car. For those of you without lifts, it’s a great opportunity to look-over the underside of your car for any leaks or safety issues that need to be addressed.
This offer is NOT only for Superformance car owners. All makes and models are welcome. There will also be an impromptu discussion on the remaining WCCC events for the year. So we need your input and suggestions to conclude the years scheduled driving events. So plan on stopping by for food, car inspection and a short club meeting.
We need to make plans for a Poker Run or two while the weather is still nice.
Please RSVP for this event so we can have the breakfast seating reserved and a car order for the free inspection.
There may be a few other surprises too for the people who attend this event…

Quick update:
The Snake&Eggs will be at the IHOP on North Avenue - 1 block west of Bloomingdale Road at 8:30am.
We will leave for the shop at 10am which is located, approx 1 mile east of our Snake& Egg Location...
As an update:
There will be some NICE door prizes too compliments of Snake Power Performance....
The order for tech inspections is the order of the emails I get confirming your plans to attend....
So please let me know if your planning to attend or not ASAP...
All makes and models of Cobras and Coupes are welcome....
The Snake&Eggs and shop tour happen regardless of weather conditions on that day....

mdmull 09-17-2007 09:39 PM

I'll likely attend the Snake & Eggs, but if the weather is nice, afterwards I'll be driving - somewhere west to minimize the time spent behind minivans.

We'll probably miss the S&E as we are going downstate for a parade to welcome home a group of ILL NG troops from Iraq.

Have fun and a nice cruise if you go driving

I agree with Dr Mike. I have already seen my car on a lift (not a pretty sight).
Mike, I just noticed your description of your car. I did not know your Carburetor was painted red.......... Live and learn; that's what I always say.

Guys,

I'll be there for breakfast and the Snake Performance Shop tour.

I'm planning to attend. I live in Naperville. I've been building my Unique Motorcars Cobra for the past 20 Months. The past couple of months I've been sorting out various issues, and most are solved. I'd like to meet other Cobra owners in the area, and a check-up on a lift would be great. I definitely plan on joining WCCC.

Your welcome to join us Dick....
Won't be too many members participating due to a conflicting event schedule...but that's never stopped us before....be sure to come for breakfast....

Jerry Clayton 09-22-2007 07:48 PM

Blas

It looks like we'll be back from the welcome home parade for the Ill National Guard guys so we'll try to make the breakfast---
However We have too much work to do in our own shop to be spending time touring another shop--
Would like to hear about what direction and under whose guidance the club is traveling---
Seems to be a North side/South side/West side riff developing??????
And as always, anyone is welcome to put there cars on our lifts for a looksee

Jerry

You apparently missed the meeting today covering the remaining events for the season. Due to the low turnout expected on the 29th, there will be no planned discussion concerning any remaining events. As to a riff developing, you know more about that than me apparently.

DownTheRoad 09-24-2007 06:55 AM

I would like to attend, I also heard that there is somthing is going on in Joliet il with the windycity cobra's?

jeffko 09-24-2007 11:17 AM

Jerry,

As to guidance for the club, the directors are presently Blas, Mark and myself organizing the interests expressed by the members. As to the club direction, it has always been and as far as I can see always will be enjoying the venom of these cars in the company of marginal people.

May I ask where you get this idea of a rift? As far as I know you are the first to make a comment in that direction.

"DownTheRoad"

The "Joliet event" is not an official WCCC event. It's actually a Northwoods Shelby Club event that might be of interest to WCCC members. It certainly can be an official event if anyone wants to take charge and sponsor it on Sunday. (Wouldn't want to compete with a previously scheduled club event on Saturday.) (Snake N Eggs, Cruise to Joliet, See Viintage car show and high speed road course event...) Some of us, individually, will be down there driving &/ or spectating on Sunday. I can't organize a group cruise because I'll be down there by 7am getting ready to get on the track. But Ralphie might be available... :-)

Also, we'd love to join in on Saturday's WCCC Snake N Eggs "tech Event" but we'll be enteratining in-laws, in from out of town. Can't wait for my next chance to get together with the WCCC guys though, for some fall touring / cruising / back roads fun!

Blas 09-29-2007 03:40 PM

Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone at the shop.

Great to see so many people and car today.
12 cars on amd off the lift kept Ward and his crew busy all day...
A great breakfast turnout and some nice door prizes from Snake Power Performance and D&M Motorsports....The homemade salsa was great too...
Thanks to everyone who attended and everyone at the shop....

galla4 09-30-2007 09:17 AM
