Glen, Your still here.
I knew that would bring you out of the woodwork. Think Spring, GO TEAM BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I'm looking at my schedule, how does 4/19 0r 4/26 sound? Saturdays. Maybe get some warm temps by then.
I think April is a RED month:3DSMILE: |
Hey Karl! Hope I didn't impose on your schedule or your shop by starting this thread. I was going to call you today to see if a gathering was ok, but you replied before I could call. Hey, are you trying to avoid having me call? %/ Either day works for me, though the 26th sounds better. Pushing it back to the 26th can only increase my chances of showing up with paint.
|
Should we do the 19th with the 26th as a rain date?
Just throwing ideas out there. |
Dee,
Yes, I remember you. People typically remember stalkers. It was good chatting with you on the driveway that day. Now, as far as your color choice goes, there used to be a fine gentleman in the group named Erik who had a car painted a very similar color. If I remember correctly, he quickly became known as lipstick! All attempts at preserving his manhood, including fathering a lovely daughter, having a loud larg engine, seem to have failed and he rarely makes an appearance. I think it has to do with the talk of the pretty red car with the big engine that fell behind the other colors. Now, speaking of other colors, keep in mind that although the blue cars will have a nice view of that pretty red behind of your car, it is gonna be awfully expensive to repair the paint chips in such a fine cusotm paint job that are created by the YELLOW cars in front of you spraying up ashphalt. All in fun, because at least this yellow car is typically picking up the rear, only to be in front of Marty. But at least he is moving as opposed to the other pretty red car that sits waiting for the PERFECT weather! |
Wow,
Tom out of left field... Quote:
That should about wrap it up. |
What the heck is wrong with you guys!!!!!! All this nonsence about "my red car" your blue car" my this , my that, gee whiz already,,,,,, You know color of the car has nothing to do with anything, lets get real and forget about the cars for a second and talk about how cool some of us cool guys look in our leaderhosens over our sheer panty hose or how cool Ralpy and Dale look in thier underwearless kilts!!! You blue/red guys and all the bull "smoke blowing" know that it is our attire you admire when we blow past you!!!!
Ya I can't wait to get back on the road again!!! |
I may need to moderate this thread....The visuals are getting disgusting....
|
Now you guys are in trouble.
You know who is watching you. LOL |
Okay Guys,
I have heard about enough. Again, I need to be the self-appointed voice of calmness and reason. You guys are talking about car color for gosh sakes and you have forgotten the topic of this thread. I mean talking about car color??? I am shocked and amazed. This is a level to which I would never, ever stoop. Chris, look, I loved the picture of the ‘fast’ red car, but – you should be ashamed of yourself. We all know that car has clutch problems cause by the extreme amount of torque it produces. I mean have you ever seen the burn outs? And Wolfe you know Silver cars should not be driven to the South-Side. Though the driver may be out fitted in his finest lederhosen and kilt outfit there is still an issue. It is a well known fact that the gas gauge (and the gas toggle switch on Superformance cars) fail to properly perform on 'da Sose-side'. Simply put, such cars run out of gas down there. (Remember the 'mid-day ride of one we hold dear')? By the way what color cars rescue those Silver cars? That’s right Blue ones. Speaking of slow Blue cars this is a topic on which I am well versed. I happen to own one of the Slowest /Bluest cars around. I have the only GEO powered Cobra in the Midwest and it is slow as heck. However it never runs out of gas. This is party because it often has trouble starting but I digress. Back to my original thought; this is a thread about visiting Gess Motorsort. Yes, historically, we made an early spring Snake and Eggs that included a visit to Gess Motorsport. I must say we were always welcomed and our little group was graciously treated by our host. This excursion was originally known as the ‘100 day Snake & Eggs’ How do I know all of this you may ask? Simple, I was the original sponsor of the 100 day snake & eggs. Originally it was approximately 100 days after the Holiday Party and for many of us it was the first real outing in our cars for the season. It also allowed us to keep this very long thread going thereby providing entertainment throughout the long winter months. Okay my color fixated friends; how about it. Who would be in for a South-Side Snake & Eggs followed by a trip to Crete & visit to Gess Motorsports? Which date is better for people April 16th or the 26th? Let me see a show of hands. |
OOOH, OOOOH,
I want to go and I have a blue car with gas in it, well most of the time. Can I go Ritchie? When are we going to have that Blazing Saddles Drive in Viewing? |
At least yours are running.........I'm always breaking mine.
Or am I just replacing all the weak links. New idea. Rattle Can Party (Krylon) |
Blas, please stop this, help!
|
The 19th is good for me -- I guess (with a rain date of the 26th). I'll see to it that everthing is set up if we can come to terms on an actual date.
|
Where do the black cars go?
|
Arcenio
As you may well know I also own a Black car - in fact it maybe my favorite. But I digress. That aside; I want to address burn-outs. No one does burn-outs like the owner of a Black-Car. AM I RIGHT? Let's see a show of hands. |
The 19th is a go, with the 26th as a rain date. Start around 10:30? Plenty of time for breakfast. We could go for later in the day, if that works better.
|
If I am back from Ohio, I am in! Is it Cracker Barrell in Matteson for the Snake and Eggs portion? You Nort Siders could also stay on 355 (well those of you who can make it without GPS) and go to 80 and do the Cracker Barrell in Tinley Park. There are some other establishments I can think of, but they are a little off the beaten path. Gess Brothers, is there anything in Crete that would be good? Preferably something along those back roads!

Rich,
Your dream has come true. Not 100 days but still a way to get through the winter. Chris be nice to Erik aka "limpdi..." I mean lipstick. Man I would have loved to have seen Erik go to his painter holding his wife's lipstick in his hand... Erik: "This color" Painter: "This color?" Painter: under his breath..."cross dresser. I knew it!" |
Hey Guys, Erik is not a member of the WCCC and has not been for many years. Perhaps it would be a good thing to get off his case seeing he is not a member...
