Hello all! My name is nick and I live in the southwest suburbs. I take delivery of my FFR tomorrow! I have been on the ffr forum and acting as a sponge for that last few months. Now I hope to meet some local folks that have a love for these cars as well! Just wanted to say a quick hello.

Hey, WELCOME ABOARD, Nick!
Did you get the FFR fully assembled and ready to drive or is it in bits and pieces? What color stripes are on your RED Cobra?

Nick,
Welcome.
Don't feel pressured by all those guys with the slow red cars.
Everybody knows that Blue is the quickest.
Ask Al and all the others.

Oh boy, you had to ask.
It has something to do with the Drag Day Event.
Wolfie, thought it was an event to do with cross dressing, So he showed up in leiderhosen with panty hose underneath.
I'm sure he will chime in and expand on the story. LOL

Lee, you know the funny thing about this whole story is that Chris is the son of Wolfie. But Chris won't tell anyone that his dad made him go through high school with lederhosen. (yes, that is the correct spelling)

Lee I think silver is an excellent choice for a cobra. That color goes with any onsamble you wear and it would put you in the elite group of cobras, those of us who know the color doesn't make the car, the best dressed driver makes the car!

Nick,
Welcome to the wonderful world of cobra ownership and to the slightly demented WCCC Club Cobra owners board. Post if you need assistance with your build and we can schedule a legendary Saturday WCCC “garage crawl” guaranteed to expedient your build process with our expert advice and hands on knowledge while pissing off your neighbors with our infamous street burn out contest. (Ideally, we want you tearing up asphalt this year and the WCCC members are dedicated to support fellow cobra owners achieve their dream regardless of car color).
So post and we’ll be there.

progress update....
thought I would check in and give an update on my progress....got some sheetmetal on, steering installed, rearend in, brakes on and plumbed, pedal box in, and fuel system installed. I'm using a donor motor due to budgets constraints and have spent the last week and a half degreasing this thing. Worst experience of the build. Anyway...hope to have it cleaned up to a respectable level and drop it in in the next 5-7 days. there it is! I sent my paperwork the other day to join WCCC....

Nick, cleaning up the donor stuff is the worst part. It's all downhill from there. Your almost at a milestone in the build. Dropping in the motor/trans. charges up your attitude. Have fun, I think 3 guys is safe when doing this. 2 for guiding and 1 to operate the hoist.

Well, looks like Nick got so overwhelmed or confused by the color suggestions that it left him speechless.
Or Blas gave him the airfare and keys to the WCCC condo in the Bahamas, if Nick promises to paint the FFR red!
