Motel for next year!!!!!!
The Hampton Inn will except reservations for next year in two weeks , the dates are June 25th to 27th. In the hope we can all stay together next year .
For the members that didn,t go this year you mist a great time . The best food, the best speakers they ever had. They had four events Friday you could pick from and everyone said they had a great time. There was a group from Canada and they all seem to be having a great time and they were great sports.
As for who won the Cobra this year: in was a 23 year old college student who bought one ticket at mall.
One guest speaker was the lady that painted life size painting of the 23 Ohio National Guard that lost there lives in one road side bombing . I don;t think there was a dry eye in the place after she spoke.
There was a large group from the east coast for the first time to the Spring Fling and they had some great Cobras to look at .
Members that did attend please post your comments and impressions .
Personally I meant some great people and had a great time ! This was the best Spring Fling I have attended .

motels
The Hampton is located in Columbus with the Best Value and Fairfield Inn next door. They are located off I-70 at Exit 91 B, onto Hillard-Rome Rd. There are 2 restaurants, a church and what will be 5 motels located on a dead end road. We drive 20 + miles west to the Speedway truck stop on Saturday and the Sheriff's dept escort us into London, about 20 miles.
The church lets us use their baseball field to set up the very large tent for Friday night and Saturday night activities. The motels are the central point for everything. If you stay at one of the 3 (5) motels you are close to everything. Tailgate party, parking lot car show, old friends, new friends, you are in the center of the Cobra Show. The eye of the Hurricane
If your lost just follow someone that knows where your going.

Is this the one...
Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus Hilliard
3950 Lyman Drive, Hilliard, Ohio, USA 43026
There's another one off I70, but it looks closer to Columbus.
Thanks,
Ed

That's a good question Ed. But be forewarned that though the main event is in London, just about nothing else, including the hotels, are there. Most people stay just up the road on the outskirts of Columbus. The only reason that I bring this up is because I was a confused mofo last year! We stayed in London and will do so next year just because we really like the little town.
So I think it would be a good idea to post the addresses of anything LCS related so new people won't be as confused.

There was talk on another thread of moving the hotel venue to another location.
DOes anyone know if it is staying where it was this year or if it may change?

Hotels and Info
First of all, thanks for all the kind words about LCS 2008. It sure helps justify all the hours we put in to plan and execute the show. The best way to keep up to date on the schedule and hotel info is by going to www.londoncobrashow.com. All the hotels with addresses and phone numbers are listed. We will be adding the two new hotels being built as soon as we get their info. We hope they will add a better option for rooms for next year's show. We will also be adding night time security next year. We have never had a problem that I know of until this year. Unfortunately it is closing the barn doors after the cows are out. The gang from OCC is taking a little breather, but will soon start getting things going for 2009. I am going to try to do a better job of updating the web site this year. Our provider is going to add more control for me to do things instead of calling him all the time. We at the OCC look forward to seeing you all again next year (or sooner) and will work to make the next show even better. Any suggestions are welcome by email at info@ohiocobraclub.com . I can't guarantee we will use them, but I will guarantee we will consider them.
