The online directions said metric....That was cut & paste from the website...wrenches and fluid...
|
Hydraulic fluid
Hydraulic fluid Do you know where to purchase?
a metric wrench set? How large? |
I just talked to Napa they have it there.
However it is not the recomended ISO 32 Light Hydraulic oil. teh guy at Napa says Midas uses it in their lifts any body know if thre is a huge difference? |
Hey Rich it says Metric
|
No Problem. I will bring those wrenches
|
Most likely you are going to need an adjustable wrench and some vise grips also. The nuts on top of the posts are pretty large.
You should have all the hardware with the lift. This one levels a little differently than the 7000. The instructions are not that clear. Make sure you put the little covers on the pulley's before you route the cables through. Or you'll be undoing them later and re routing them. Don't ask me why I know this. Good luck, Wish I could make it. Took me about 6 hours to assemble, Alone. That's 6 man hours boys, Keep track |
Ghris,
What about the hydraulic fluid? |
I think I picked it up at autozone, napa or one of those stores.
Can't remember, Sorry |
Take the number aw 32 or aw46 to any auto parts or farm supply store and buy 3 gal.
You can even use 10 wt. hyd oil. Good Luck |
Morning everyone,
I can help but can only stay a few hours since I’ve previously volunteered to help my brother roof his garage beginning at noon. (Confident the WCCC team spirit can complete the job by noon.) I’ll bring some wrenches, a four-foot level, rubber mallet, half-inch metric socket set and we can make a hardware store run if we need anything. I’ll meet you guys at the S & E for coffee and we can discuss our assembly plans |
I stopped by for a look/see late in the day. I must say, that WCCC team had it up and running in less than 3 hours. Now his garage look complete: Sorry I could not hang-around longer. Well done guys.
