July 19th WCCC Caravan to Road America
Hi everyone,
The purpose of this e-mail thread is twofold. First, we require an accurate head count of everyone planning to attend the WCCC Saturday July 19th BRIC tailgate party at Road American in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin. Secondly, I want to outline our event caravan plan. Please read the following and reply to this thread if you are planning to attend the event or would like to caravan with us.
We are planning to meet at the McDonald’s Restaurant, 5555 Grand Avenue, route 132, Gurnee Illinois, 60031 at 8:00AM. The restaurant is just East of I-94, near Great America Amusement Park, and the same restaurant we met at for last year’s BRIC caravan. It is roughly three hours to Road American and we‘ll leave Mickey D’s at 8:30AM to avoid the summer sun/heat to arrive at Road America in time for lunch. Cut and paste the following Map Quest link for directions to the restaurant. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Gu...::d::25:::::/e
Remeber to fuel before having breakfast since we are driving non-stop to Road America.
Don’t forget to bring you I-PASS, sun block, water for the trip and several chairs for Road America.
Call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Wow, hope there will be more responses than this. Rich and I won't have much cooking to do if only Frank, Mark and Laura, and Johan will be at corner 5 next Saturday!
Come on, members, let's have a show of hands who's going!
I'll be there Thursday to secure our spot early Friday and to see a great racecar parade Friday evening, from the track to the town of Elkhart Lake.

I'm sure it was! Those two are always getting photographed doing something risque. But we can't show pictures here, it's a family channel.

From the suburb of Chicago called Wisconsin another member Dennis Simmons and I plan on a caravan from Madison Saturday morning with our two Cobras. If weather not great will probably use the F150 Cobra. For the head count probably four total.

Reed,
I’ll take my "daily driver" if the weather looks threatening. But barring a monsoon, typhoon, hurricane, tornados etc. I’m planning to go.

I've been in Elkhart since Sunday, we were just shuffled into the parking garage due to a tornado warning.
In the garage are some cool toys, my Factory Five is parked next to a real 289 & GT350.
Looking forward to meeting up with you guys again, hope the weather plays nice!!

Great Time at Elkhart Lake...
Another Great Time at Elkhart Lake...
The weather looked bad back at home when we left, but it was perfect up at the track. Rich and Ralph put on another fantastic event once again...That brisket Rich make is UNBELIEVABLE.....Sadly, not too many club members came up to the track for the day...But Ralph was collecting and feeding members of various racing teams, and writers from England,...Thanks to Rich and Ralph for all you efforts again this year. That's what made our club events great all these years....
