WCCC Fall Drag Day 08
Putting a feeler out there to see how much interest there is for doing a fall drag day at Byron on Saturday October 18th.
We are running out of nice weather.
Soooooooooooooooo, Who's interested in participating and/or spectating this fall. Lets see some of the newer members come out and play.
This is a great way to get involved in the WCCC and see what you and your car are capable of in a safe manner.
So, who will be the top dog? Will Al retain his crown? Will it be a Blue car, a red car, or some other non important color? Will it be a small block?, a big block? A v6 turbo?, a v10?
Come out and back up some of that smack talk you like to lay down. This will give you bragging rights all winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come one, come all.
By the way, there will be a Corvette club there that day also.
So, let's start putting some names on this list:
CD
Erik (lipstick)
Al
Warren
Jimbo
Eric

I'd love to be there, but I'll be south of the border sitting in the sun...
Count me out this time.

Hey Chris,
I guess it's time to find out what my car is made of. If no rain, I'll be there.

Its a maybe for me at this time, but if the weather is good I'll most likely be there. Who's bring a trailer for back up?

Jim,
The cost is between $20 and $30.
The time, we usually meet for breakfast around 8:00 at a restaurant in Genoa on Rt. 72 and get to the track around 9:30 or so. More details to follow on this.
Come on out. You'll have a great time.
Greg, Are you saying the commute from AZ to IL is too far for a drag day!!!!!!!!LOL
Now where is that red car with the Little warmed up 302? Sitting on the porch?
Where is Al? Is he going to defend his title as "King of the Hill"?

I have an "Ugly 302" de-stroked to a 289 with damn good oil. Should make about 185 FWHP on a good tune. I was thinking about getting some of those Tornado things which will add another 20 HP. Chris does someone else have a 302 that's been warmed up? Warming mine up a little may boost my numbers a bit.

I'll be there if the weather cooperates. Doubt I'll make the breakfast but, at the least, I'll meet at the track. Sorry, I'm only a spectator this time.

I coach two frickin' soccer games for my kids in the morning (love the kids - wouldn't mind missing one game though) - was hoping for afternoon or evening races. I would have loved to come and see what BDR #357 would do, I'll have to wait until next year. Anyone run a Ford crate 392 with advertised 430hp (actually 462 on the dyno)?. I'd be curious what it would run in the 1/4.

Chris you are a loser that has stupid Neighborhood parties and needs to be a good little citizen (Commie) and play nice like a little twinkle toe ballerina.
