June 13th trip across the "Cheddar Curtain"

Saturday the 13th is the day!
Meet at Sammie's restaurant in Huntley @0830-0900 for breakfast and maps. Sammie's is 3 miles north of I-90 in Huntley, next to the tracks on the north side right on Route 47.
We'll bug-out @1000 and head north to Monticello Wisc for a quick stop at a cheese shop. Then off to New Glarus for the grand opening of the new brewery there. They'll have a band and some "barley pop" for the tasting. They also have free tours of the facilities that they are opening to the public that very day! Then perhaps to Casino's Pizza for a bite to eat.
For those who wish to stay the night, there's the Chalet Landhaus in town. It's a Swiss lodge type of place, As is the rest of Green County! A standard room is $149 which includes a breakfast buffet Sunday morning.(based on double occupancy) I'm working on a rate for those who wish to stay.Their site is chaletlandhaus.com if you'd like to check it out.I'll be staying over and take the LONNNNNNG way home on Sunday!
New Glarus is about 80 miles from Woodstock, and 2 hours of windshield time.Only a stone"s throw SW of Madison and a breeze to get back to Chicago suburbia down I-90.
If you have any questions, fire away, and I'll do my best!

Count me in this sounds like a great trip! I'll even try to get my wife to come along. We would plan on the over night stay, let me know if you will block out some rooms or if we should call for reservations.
