Aluminum Replica of CSX3002 with 24 quart dry sump

Replica of CSX3002, the first 427 Cobra and the link between the 289 and 427 cars. 427 aluminum head engine with heads painted black, 427 round tube chassis, 289 flat bottom front end and 289 dash and gauge layout, front braced roll bar, square oil cooler designed by Ron Butler, inner fender screen ventalation, fiberglass brake ducts, 42 gallon tank (cell), 24 quart fender mounted dry sump, full leather driver racing seat and harness. Displayed at Monterey Historic Races in 1997 with the actual CSX3002. Ran 160 MPH on the front straight at Road America September 1999. w/17in. Compomotives/Kumhos

I like the original 15in. look a little better, but this is nice too. Wow...the Kumhos stick and handle....no comparison w/ BFG TAs!!!

Collapsible Spare Tire

Here is my "standard" load - Collapsible Spare seated between Halon and Battery box (air inlator bottle in green "wine cooler" bag).
Two folding chairs, California Duster, and emergency tool kit on lower level. Small scissors jack, knock-off hammer, safety wire & pliers, couple screwdrivers and spark plug socket w/rachet.
Soft top is only loaded when it looks like it will be needed. Miscellaneous "waxer" supplies in small black box to right of tool box.

Stripes

Well we got the stripes on it. This is a blue we came up with a few years ago. It is a violet base with a blue tint coat followed by 3 coats of clear. Hand sanded between of course.

This is the same photo thats in my gallery of the 427 FE bored 30 over, only this is a better shot of the interior and those roaring side pipes.
