Making progress on polishing
This is after 1200 grit sanding and an initial buff with course compound. Starting to look nice.

Cooling circuit
My own Y pipe. The top of the Y is for deaerator connection and the bottom is for water temperature sensor. I don't find yet a nice location to install the thermostat
