'Naja evolvere' with wire knockoffs
This is 'Naja evolvere' (the 'evolved Cobra') with 17 inch Dayton (Triple Cross) 100 spoke wire wheels (true knockoffs). The base coat is a pearl white, and it has subtle, ghosted graphics on the hood and truck (and another image under the hood). I built the car to 'explore the envelope' with what is possible to do with a Cobra (at a reasonable - ??? - price) - not just the common (no offense intended) 427/428, 5/7 gauge, Guardsman blue with Wimbledon white stripes Cobra. (If the above is what you REALLY want, then I congratulate you - vive la differance!).
Naja is very heavy at 3200 lbs. (fully loaded), but makes for a TERRIFIC road car (which is what I wanted). It has a 533 cid, programmable EFI engine, C6, a/c, cruise, tilt, stereo/CD (for when you stop), 13 gauge functions, power steering/brakes, sidepipe shields - everything that a Cobra is NOT supposed to have.
It is a West Coast model, being longer and wider than standard. This set of wheels takes 235/45/17 fronts and 285/45/17 rears - Bridgestone Potenza 730s (very aggressive 60k tires).

Interior View
An interior view of SPF 1559. Since this picture a Jordon shifter handle has replaced the standard SPF handle and an inch smaller diameter wood wheel has replaced this steering wheel. Note 5 point seat belts for dirver and passenger.

Home built Headers
I'm building my headers and sidepipes from scratch. I'm cutting and piecing the bends together to get them to all run nicely. At this stage I'm just taping them in place till I'm happy with how they look. I've got to refit the body and check the clearance around the steering shaft and the footbox. When that's OK I'll fire up the welder.

sky view of my Cobra
427 Side Oiler, Toploader 4spd, Halibrand Sprint wheels, 9" Ford rear, MII front suspension & steering rack, rectangle tube frame, and aluminum interior and engine bay fabricated by me. All that and I have no idea who the manufacturer is....maybe it's a long lost Shelby?
