SCCA "B" Production Champ
This is CSX2473, the Cobra that won the SCCA "B" Production chamionship in 1968, and again in 1973, with Don Roberts at the wheel.
Don Lee of California now owns the car, and he was giving the Shelby Spec Racer a good run in the SAAC 27 Vintage Cobra Race up until the final laps, when he seemed to lose his clutch.

Carroll Shelby poses with CSX 3056 sister car to CSX 4039
This is the cover of out of print and sold out Shelby American issue #60. A then 69 year old Shelby ran 50 laps of the track at that meet to withing .4 secs of the record he set there 30 years before.

CSX3056 at PIR (1992)
I have met CS many times, even got to chauffuer him around on a golf cart once. This was my ride with him at speed at Portland. I lucked out, since I was first after lunch, we had to take a few extra laps to "warm up the tires". An unforgetable experience, sliding around corners with a living legend at the wheel of his creation.

Turn 7 at Road Atlanta. The brakes overheated and went to the floor at this turn on on of the laps. Eeek! Made it back OK.
