ERA #196

Built by Cobra Restorers and owned by me from 1996 - 98. Had Holman-Moody 427 S/O with 12.5/1 pistons. Had to use racing fuel. It sounded like it was spitting ball bearings down the side pipes! VERY NASTY.

Holman-Moody Sideoiler 427

This is the fire breathing motor that was in ERA #196 I used to own. It's a Holman-Moody prepared 427 Sideoiler w/ 12.5 to 1 pistons and a midriser dual four barrel manifold w two Holley 780's. I would guess it was pushing 600 HP. I had to run race gas in it. It sounded like it was spitting ball bearings down the sidepipes!

Chassis Shots

Nice shot of a very tidy installation, and a very clear view of the Serck Racing bespoke air to air intercooler and very chunky radiator to keep the temperatures down.

GT 40 Aluminum Heads

I have just worked the ports and runners over and shaved these y303 heads combustion chambers down to 55 cc's, those are Proform 1.7:1 pedestal mount rockers which fit under the short cast aluminum valve covers after you remove the baffles and machine the mounting bosses flush. Craig Blood of Blood Enterprises in Auburn Washington is my chief technical advisor, parts supplier and machinist for the shaving and valve cutting, i cannot recommend he and his crew highly enough! If you want the best quality and no BS he is your man.
