modified ERA latch catch
Close-up showing the sheet metal fabbed catches I made for my ERA. They are riveted to the original ERA catch on the bottom. Simulated weld at the top is silicone sealer painted body color.

Overall Hinge length
The title of the picture is the measurement of the item. This is modifying a Street Beast stock hinge, by adding a piece of 4" pipe in the middle. I used it on my car and I get about 22" of door opening.

4" Pipe installed
This is the height of the 4" pipe, as installed. You may consider 5" or 6" pipe, which would require less cutting of the body. Using larger pipe will affect the other dimensions.

Here is where the "original hinge" is cut, 3/4" inch, after the hinge pin. This is on the "front side", before the pipe is installed.
