ERA 289 FIA shoulder harness mount
Roll bar mount for raising the shoulder harness. Moved one of the belt anchors to the outside of the roll bar. For the inside anchor I welded a bracket on the bar. Point was to be symmetrical to where I mounted the seat. Did not mount the seat as suggested in the "offset" position. Wanted it directly back from the pedals. Did lose some leg room by not doing the normal "offset".

Trunk weather strip
Finished installation. Not very pretty, but using the larger dia. bulb wopuld not compress easily enough to permit the trunk to latch and allow the deck to be flush with the adjacent body. The original dia. weatherstrip did not compress along the top and sides at all.

Build pics
Did not like the leaf springs at all. This was a viable solution.

Don't know how he did it, but my brother-in-law managed to make my Superformance Cobra look like a toy car. Cool.

hood support close up.
Here you see the steel threaded collars pressed into the 5/8's holes. I didnt want to thread the aluminum for fear of the threads possibly pulling through.

Freshly painted ERA 289FIA rolled out. Ken's did an outstanding job on the wet-looking gloss black.

ERA 289FIA Cobra First Drive and fully sorted
This is the day of my first drive after getting my Cobra back from paint and reassembling it. I took a vacation day off from work, and did a 12-hour blitz to reassemble it. This photo was my first drive right after the blitz. DD

Trunk Latch Modification on a B and B
This made it so I did not have to grind out the lip of the trunk for the latch finger, and by moving the latch down the license plate will now fit. I will add a rubber cushion to the trunk stop.

Filter mount
Took a peice of 2" aluminum pipe and made this filter mount. The filter slides in and there are 2 set screws on either end ring to hold the filter in place. I didnt like the way the band clamps looked.

Cobra visit at Jodeco Auto Body
Here is my Cobra in primer at Jodeco Auto Body. Bruce said the body was in great shape and didn't take a lot of work. They are about to seal the primer.
