Here's the front of the car after we removed the radiator. There was a problem with some work that the radiator shop did and the driver's side tank leaked like a sieve. The good news is that the engine fired and we were able to time it.

We got the radiator back from the radiator shop and it went back in with no problems or leaks. This is a picture of the car after returning from a cruise/test drive around Buddy's yard and leaving 2 long black streaks down his driveway.

CSX 2002 Engine Bay

CSX 2002 with Ford 289 cubic inch small block. 1967 competition engines were claimed to develop a maximum of 390 horse power at 6750 RPM. This 1962 version, the first competition engine, probably made significantly less.

Arntz / Butler door

This is the final version of the Arntz / Butler door. The inner and outer fibreglass panels conceal a 2 x 4 x 0.120 wall steel tube for crash protection and rigidity. A VW door latch, striker and handle let you in and out. A plate is welded on the front, to which the hinges bolt and adjust. The hinges are press formed from 1.5 x 0.5 solid steel bar and swing on delrin bushes. Unique to the Arntz Type 4 are the Mercedes door pin and socket (just above the latch) that solidly ties the door to the rest of the cage surrounding the passenger compartment.

HCS Coupe Nose shot

Look how beautiful the finish is on the coupe. Your painter will love the care that has been taken to produce such a flawless gel coat finish. The whole body was buffed less than an hour to produce this finish ...I was there.
