Contemporary Cobra

This is how I found it...with golf shoes around it and golf clubs leaning against it. Cobwebs everywhere....and mouse nests.....

Contemporary Cobra

This was a childhood dream. I never in my life imagined that I would ever OWN one!!! A high school friend had this one built in 1990 and after doing a donut on the highway at speed he decided to park it. This is how I found it, parked after fifteen years...with 1190 miles on it. And a real 427 FE.

Right Inner Wheelwell Clearanced for Larger Tires

Optional 'bubble' added to Midstates body to clear larger tires. Almost looked like a hoodscoop stood on end. They cut out section behind seats and simply glassed this in. Appears to offer plenty of clearance for the 335/35 ZR17s I am using

WSCB 2008 Avatar - Save to your profile if attending

Some people like to save the yearly WSCB avatar to their profile if they are attending WSCB. You can try this one and save it in your personal profile if you wish. Thanks, Duane

Bonnet Lip Milling Tool

The bonnet lip was variable thickness which made fitting a seal rubber difficult. This tool was lashed up by fixing a metal guide to a drill with Jubilee clips and using a milling bit. Worked very well as can be seen form the amount of fibreglass swarf.

My First Cobra

These pictures were taken at the Show Low City Park in Show Low, Arizona in January 2008. This is my first Cobra Replica build. I owe a lot to Jeff Classic of Cobras N Vettes from Glendale Arizona. I purchased the body and parts from his company. It was a lot easier than I thought and Jeff turned out to be a good person and friend.
