Arntz wheel well doors

Arntz Type 4 only; not on any Butlers. There's one of these doors on each side of the car, at the rear of the rear wheel wells. They open to the space between the rear bodywork and the frame rails. This one on the passenger side allows access to the battery compartment and slide-out tray. The one on the driver's side supposedly allows you to store a collapsible spare tire but I have not found one with a small enough initial diameter to fit through the door. The wheel has to be taken off first to be able to open the doors.

Rear of lower link arm

This looks like it will bind if the axle moves up at all, will probably have to be rounded off. The arm has two welded bends in it so I doubt I can replace it accurately with a tube.

ERA 289 FIA and CSX 2490

Tom Cotter's original 289 Cobra and my ERA 289 FIA - easy to see here how much wider the FIA body was to accomodate larger racing tires.

Modified B and B Suspension Mounts

This was to correct a defect on some cars sold in 2009. The lower tubes were raised to the proper position in the picture. The upper mounts were redesigned and raised to accept a longer shock. This corrected bump steer, roll center and shock travel issues.
