Street Beasts Headers

Here is a set of headers I had to get from Street Beasts. It only took FIVE MONTHS to get them. I live in the sticks with no "custom header" manufacturers around. I bought and tried Factory Five headers earlier, but they won't work with this body.

Street Beasts Driver Sidepipe

Here is the Street Beasts sidepipe on the driver side. Another lesson learned: if you use a 351W for mock up and are installing a 302, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE! The 302 is 2" narrower (at the head) and about 1" lower (at the head) than the 351. We had to "adjust" the motor mounts when I put the dummy 302 in.

Street Beasts Passenger Sidepipes

I bought the sidepipes "bare" from Street Beasts to save about $1,200 they wanted to coat them. I can get them done for about $500

Steering Rack Problem

Here is a steering rack problem we found: the brackets are wrong, including one being "upside down" from the factory. I guess the "quality guy" was on vacation. Smile

Street Beasts Sidepipes

Street Beasts sidepipe builder makes them to "turn down", not "point out, like "real Cobra's". Needless to say, we "modified them to point straight out, like "real Cobras" Smile

Here, Kurt the builder fixed the problem by relocating the bracket
