Right side of car with emblems

You can see the SUPERCHARGED emblem just below the Powered by Ford emblem. No that is not what a bad paint job looks like. That is what a candy paint job does when the light hits it in different spots. This car has a violet base coat with a blue tint clear coat followed by several coats of clear.
Pretty neat don't you think??

Guess who?

Dick Smith in CSX3035 on his way to the A Production title, Daytona 1967. This was the race where Smith is certified by the Daytona folks as having hit 198 mph. He still owns this car but it has been painted red for years.

How I Got MY COBRA

Looks Pretty Bad?
I was Broadsided by a Rig that was Speeding in excess of 75 MPH,Weaving in & out of traffic.
My seatbelt broke & I was thrown from my Rig as the Cab was Torn Off, partly due to falty Spot welds at the Factory in Brazil (95% were COLD I just had 5% of the Total Spot welds holding my Cab on to the Frame)
I was Comatose for 6.5 Weeks, I had ALL my Ribs Crushed, 4 holes in each Lung, Both Collar bones broken in 3 places, 2 Skull Fractures, 1 concaved fracture in the rear of my Skull, I lost 7 Cm of Brain Tissue on the Left Frontal Lobe, I Lost 7 Pints of Blood, I had 3 Heart Beats per Minute when they got me to the Hospital.
My saving Grace, was a Doctor who was doing a "Ride a long" Who Cut My lungs open & Blead them while I was laying on the 101 Freeway & "Bagged" Me all the way to the Hospital.

But Worst of all, I was hit by an "Illegal Immagrant" who changed his story 8 times & CHP let him go with not as much as a Warning. Can you believe that B.S ?

Hawk built 289 Kirkham

Picture the scene. A crisp English Autumn Sunday morning, the smell of the leather, breath forming ever-more rapid clouds of anticipation in front of your face....the chatter of the fuelpump signals you to hit the starter and the tailpipes joyously bark the awakening of 8 cylinders of pure adrenalin....just for you. The sweeping country roads beckon you out, nothing else matters now, it`s just you and your Cobra.

Kirkham 289 built by Hawk Cars

This is how we do it here in the good old U of K! Gerry Hawkridge`s perfect example of a Kirkham 289, photo by his mechanic Martyn. I want that car SOOOO much, it hurts!

windwing lower bracket even gap wing to frame

This is the longer lower hinge bracket I made.It moves the wing to a position where the edges meet evenly. It will fold flat for clearence in the garage. The way it used to be The wing hit at a point and any force would break the windwing.
